macOS 10.15 Catalina is Now Available on the Mac App Store

After the install went through, I get a KP and the system restarts when I select my boot drive Macintosh HD in clover boot screen :/ My backup of Mojave still boots. Should I try VirtualSMC instead of FakeSMC?

Mine stuck at apple log :(
Can't even log into recovery...

My good old 2008 Hackintosh was updated like a charm :

Everything works fine from upgrading except audio driver broken. I tried to reset it via multibeast Mojave but failed.

Actually you should try to change partitions not perditions. Not much you can do if you're in a state of perdition.

s/perditions/permissions/g

the problem is...

sudo mount -u -o rw /

dosen't work in any mode root file system is read only and deny any write to the system

For some reason my upgrade from Mohave stalled for about 20 minutes at the first reboot, showing 16 minutes remaining, but then the system finally rebooted and the install completed normally after that point.

Everything seems to be running well on Catalina, so I can report success.

Mine doesn’t boot anymore, it’s a nuc i5

Apple logo Shows up, bar starts to rise, at like 95% pc restarts, for an hour now.. any ideas?

Anyone else having this error while downloading the upgrade from Settings?:
An error occurred while running scripts from the package “RecoveryHDMetaDmg.pkg”.

Anyone updated from Mojave to Catalina, having the system volume encrypted ?

Did a clean install from Mojave.

1. Updated Clover, Lilu, WhateverGreen, AppleALC to the latest using CC.
2. Create a new volume in the same container as Mojave using Disk Utility.
3. Install Catalina on the new volume.
4. Move documents and projects and other important stuff from Mojave to Catalina volume.
5. Check most of the things working and delete Mojave volume.

Since I don't use any 32bit app so most things are working fine for me on Catalina. Only two issues noticed currently:

1. Booting takes double the time compared to Mojave.
2. WiFi takes 2-3 minutes to connect after startup. (I'm using the intel 7620 card with Bluetooth)

Updated: Both issues have been resolved by replacing FakePCIID.kext & FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext with AirportBrcmFixup.kext.
