Comments

My board turn out to be different series from the box (did not realise). After get suggestion from MSI, then my board ID that was detected as B360M (on Bios) before, now become H370M.
So i guess.. this guide will work both MSI H370M and B360M Bazooka

Installation Notes

Bios version is very important to make the installer work smoothly.
MSI B360M Bazooka, compatible bios is 7B24v22 (installer work without trouble)
MSI H370M Bazooka compatible bios is 7B24v10 (installer work without trouble), and can be update to v13 later

CREATE USB INSTALLER USING UNIBEAST
I don't do any customization on this installer as I did on previous try for almost 5 months.

Tips
Put USB installer on USB 3.0
Put ur Keyboard and Mouse (use USB 3 Hub) on USB 3.1
ADRI Handoyo USB Sett.png
This will make your keyboard active, when the Installer touch on Language Page/Installer.
I do a lot of setting on the installer before and get so many many problem with this, all my keyboard and mouse always off when the installer touch the Language Page.. what can I do without key and mouse on. This set up makes everything simple and easy. Better way than doing tweak with the Installer.. so frustrating.

This is my bios preference
BIOS SET-UP
Setting\Advanced

- Super IO Configuration [Disabled] ’I disable it all because i don't need it'
- USB Configuration 'Make sure all enable'
- Integrated Graphics Configuration
-- Initiate Graphic Adapter [PEG] 'Because I'm using GPU'
-- IGD Multi-Monitor [Enabled] 'not necessarily'

Setting\Boot
Boot configuration
- Boot mode Select [UEFI]
Fixed boot order
- Boot option #1 [UEFI USB Key]

OC SET-UP
Overclocking

Extreme Memory Profile [Enabled]

Overclocking\CPU Features

  • Limit CPUID Maximum [Disabled]
  • Intel VT-D Tech [Disabled]
  • C1E Support [Disabled]
Save and boot your USB Unibeast Installer..

AFTER INSTALLATION

I make my NVMe PCIe M.2 as my startup OS
Install Clover UEFI boot and point to this disk

Mount your EFI disk and edit your EFI/Clover/Config.plist from Clover Configurator
Acpi
= None, all setting off/empty
Boot Graphics & CPU = leave as is
Boot = Change to my disk
GUI = Auto Yes and set resolution to Full HD 1980x1080
Graphics = None, all setting off/empty

SMBIOS
The best SMBIOS for this setting is iMac19.1

I already tried 19.2, but need more effort to make all USB work

Install Drivers
DRIVERS UEFI 64 BIT
EmuVariableUefi
(Fix shutdown for not doing restart)

Kext/Other
AppleALC
FakeSMC
Lilu
NoVPAJpeg
USBInjectAll
WhateverGreen

Everything is fine.. USB Bluetooth work fine, Wifi dongle work fine using TP-Link driver

Hey, man! Its fantastic! I have same motherboard with yo, but I'm using i3-8100 and no graphics card..
I have 6MB UHD 630 problem. Do you have any thoughts?

Havent try without.. but I guess it can works with iGpu

Hello Arcadria,

I bought that MSI H370M Bazooka motherboard and the i5-9400F CPU

Now I want to downgrade my BIOS from 7B24v17 to 7B24v12, but according to this news my CPU is not compatible with 7B24v12.
I'm thinking of changing the processor for a Core i5-8400 and thus being able to use the bios 7B24v12

What is your opinion about this?

I tried to boot from USB with my bios version 7B24v17 but I get the forbidden symbol.

And, have you tried running Mojave with eGPU?

Thank you!

Have you try 7B24v13 for i5-9400F?

Give more time to enter the installer disk when it reach to Clover OS selection, sometimes need to repeat, too.

No, I tried 7B24v10, 7B24v12 and 7B24v14
And also with i5-8400

I expected and got this error:

Also this on other occasions, but I think it is a mistake that I already overcame:

I no longer have that motherboard and those processors to test.

Thx!

@arcadria

I edit to record the hardware I had when I wrote this:
MSI H370M Bazooka
i5-9400F, i5-8400
GTX 1060

I get that many times on my first try (so frustating). I attached my EFI from my USB installer. (You can change that SMBIOS later.) Just in case you're still curious and hope that will work. Its on my dual Mojave and Catalina installer.
For me, this board feels lighter than AORUS Z370 Gaming 5. And it works with Catalina Beta (and updater).

Hello Arcadria,

And, have you tried running Mojave with eGPU?

Thank you!
I'm using PCI riser Card just like this, to double my GPU (RX580). Works perfect with FCP and specially Davinci Resolve.
