As with the last couple of updates, I found that I had to boot into my "safe" clover config.plist file to get this update to go through.

(the "safe" one is just an old config that I had which seems to work in more situations, but isn't as optimised to my particular hardware)

Unlike the last couple of updates, I found that once the installer had completed, my normal config.plist was causing a kernel panic.

So I went back to the safe one, and I've been slowly working my way through the differences between it and the normal one.

I've now got it down to two three keys in the Properties section:

Code:
            <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)</key>
            <dict>
                <key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key>
                <data>BwCbPg==</data>
                <key>device-id</key>
                <data>kj4AAA==</data>
                <key>disable-external-gpu</key> <-- could be this one
                <data>AQAAAA==</data>
                <key>framebuffer-patch-enable</key> <-- this one
                <data>AQAAAA==</data>
                <key>framebuffer-stolenmem</key>    <-- or this one
                <data>AAAwAQ==</data>

Removing these three keys allows the machine to boot, and it seems to be working well (as well as before, at least).

As yet I've not determined which one is the problem, but I'll update this post when I do.

Although I have to say that since it seems to be working at the moment, I'm inclined to just leave all three keys out, on the basis that the fewer differences from the defaults I have, the better.

So don't hold your breath for updates.

Another update: I incorrectly said that this was an update to beta 8. It was actually an update to beta 9 (19A573a).
