Certainly seems not to like 10.13 even after Carbon Copy etc. I can't run 10.14 as still no Nvidia support,
had to swap over to 970Pro instead.
Hi how did you get the 970 pro working i have same trying on Mojave no luck until now.

Thanks very much

hehe, not on a desert island but I literally don’t know a single person with a PC. I guess I could knock on my neighbors doors but I’m sure I can find an easier solution. I’ll try the bootable USB firmware update tonight and see how that goes.
You can use System Information to view the firmware version of your NVMe SSD. It will show up as "Revision". Here's mine as a reference:

How did you check the firmware version of the drive? I just bought a 970 EVO Plus to use as a secondary drive in my first build and I’m trying to figure out if/how I need to install the firmware update.

Hi, I check with Samsung software but you can check with System Information>NVMExpress>Revision.
Mine is showing as below;

Capacity: 500,11 GB (500 107 862 016 bytes)
TRIM Support: Yes
Model: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB
Revision: 2B2QEXM7

Are you guys just having this problem on Sierra? Im about to do a build with an M.2. 970 Evo plus 1TB in a Z390 M mATX motherboard and i don't wanna do the same mistake. Im planning on running it as a music production build with a gc titan ridge for thunderbolt compatibility and on macOS MOJAVE. :)

Hi there,

I have just received my Samsung 970 EVO Plus (500GB) today - last firmware from factory.
Fresh install of macOS Mojave (10.14.2) on it without any problem. Since then, no crash or reboot at all. I will keep you informed of any problem.

How did you do the firmware update? I can't get it to boot from the USB and it sounds like you need a windows installation to even booth the firmware ISO from the USB. I'm debating installing Windows on a partition on my main drive just so I can install this damn firmware update lol.
