[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ Cleaned up that .dsl file, replaced the .aml with the TEST1 .aml you provided. Rebooted and the front panel USBC3.1 reader now works. Hackintool screenshot attached. Must be USB2.0 internally.

Thanks, again, for the great How-To and the fantastic after-sale support.

This should be easy to fix... :)

Let's try this:
  • Provide screenshot of the contents of CLOVER/drivers/UEFI folder. Are you using OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000?
  • Turn off the computer and flip power switch on the power supply to OFF position for 10 seconds. Then flip it back and reboot.

The driver that was getting installed for the memory fix was OsxLowMemFix, ticking OsxAptioFix3Drv did the job. I did tick all the other available drivers though. So I suspect I'll need to clean up afterwards.
Will upload a screenshot of my UEFI folder as soon as I'm back at my hackintosh.
At a first very quick glance, everything seemed to be working fine.

Further Testing of my thunderbolt. I have an old G-Tech Firewire 800 drive, and a thunderbolt to Firewire adapter - Plugging that into the El Gato dock, it does not work.

I can plug the EG Dock into the Designare thunderbolt port with te Apple TB3 to TB2 adapter and it works and allows for hotplugging. The LaCie rugged will also work that way, in either port.

Still not able to get my UAD Apollo working. It has never asked me if I want to Allow in the Security and Privacy Page like the directions from UAD say it will.

UAD has had warnings about this Security issue ever since Mojave came out last year.

See their latest explanation and how to fix here.

They provide an app to re-set the permissions. You'll probably need that and then once re-set, re-install drivers, carefully following their instructions.

Hello again. I set CPU Type to 1005 on the config.plist you kindly sent me on page 358 in this thread and rebooted.
This resulted in that the clover bootloader screen became white instead of black as it normally would be.
It looks to be a fancy brand new version of Clover.
I tried to boot MacOS from Mojave as usual, but this results in panic. So I probably did something wrong again.
I used the Clover Configurator I used in april when I built this machine, but it said "me no work, please update" So I did.
Is there anyway to fix this without starting from scratch?
Update: I´ve tried to boot once more from MacOS from Mojave after rebooting. Clover is not white anymore. It is Clover 4862 and booting is stuck just after apple logo.

I can confirm that using VirtualSMC and AptioMemoryFix combo still does NOT work on a (my) system with multiple PCI cards installed. The combination did work if I disabled my iGPU.

So, Casey's comment here still holds true (for me anyway)-

I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of changing my SMBIOS from iMac19,1 to iMacPro1,1 just to get rid of OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000

This is affected by the Layout ID. If you are currently using 7, please try switching to 16, and vice-versa.

Set 7 (was 16) and it works ! Thanks again !

Now, I'm interested in the issue of connecting Bluetooth to an internal USB port and I bought a 1-2 splitter. When I plug it in without changing anything else on the F_USB connector of the motherboard, only Bluetooth works and the USB ports on the front panel no longer work. If I understood correctly, it is necessary to change the value "UsbConnector" from "Zero" to "0xFF"? Do the two front ports remain active or only one?
In addition, I read that it was necessary to assign the value "UsbConnector" to "255" for Bluetooth to avoid problems of sleep, so where do we add this value?
You have to use MaciASL to edit the SSDT-UIAC-DESIGNARE-Z390-FD-DEFINE-R6-V3 file and make all these modifications, right? Sorry for all these questions but I'm afraid I'm wrong....

Because Bluetooth is an internal device and the front panel USB 2 ports on the Fractal case are external ports, we cannot connect them to the same USB port. They should be connected to 2 different USB ports so that one can be marked as Type 0xFF (internal) and the other as Type 0x00 (external).

This is done by purchasing a 1-to-4 splitter instead of a 1-to-2 splitter. The 4-way splitter uses the same 9-pin connector to connect to the same F_USB header on the motherboard, but it uses 8 of those 9 pins to connect to both HS11 and HS12 (two different USB ports on the same F_USB header). The 2-way splitter uses only 4 of the 9 pins and connects to either HS11 or HS12, but not both.

After attaching a 4-way splitter, we should download and run IORegistryExplorer and export the IOReg file by selecting File --> Save As... Then by looking at this file I can modify the USB SSDT for you or tell you how to do it.

OK, I'll order a 1-4 splitter (I bought the 1-2 long before reading you, so I'll leave it in a drawer) and keep in touch!

Please note that I had to disable HS03 in order to maintain a 15-port limit.
