The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

No I make it worst...

1st I tried some other cables and adapters that I've. Not many, but no difference.

2nd I realize that I had BIOS version A24 (I've updated it some time ago). So I updated to last one: A25.
After this, single monitor boot is OK, but now I connect the second monitor and it displays nothing :( .
When I try a boot with 2 monitors connected, still not working.

I've only one hope: format and start over again with a fresh installation, hopping that in one way or another I get 2 monitors again.

Thank you all, for trying to help me.

UPDATE:
Some days ago I asked for help.
This week I received my new purchase: NVIDIA Quadro NVS510 (4x displays).
I put it on my system and ... I got all my monitors working (3x), also on boot :).
But I did a fresh macOS Mojave install, following this guide, step by step, and everything is working fine.

I just made this post to, once again, thank you all.

Good job!. Pleased you got it working.

A quick question: Unless I physically detach other drives, I cant update Mac OS. I think I was having "MacOS could not be installed on your computer. The installer resources were not found. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again" message, I cant recall exactly tough.
I hate removing all cables out and push them back.Is there any solution for it?

I dont get that, I have 2 other drives (but no other os's).
Suspect it will be easier to unplug the cables but the fix will be in checking your boot options to ensure that; the right efi folder is picked up as first boot device in the BIOS, the right boot device is chosen in Clover for each stage of the install.
The update worked automatically here and I wonder what the differences are in our drives/boot settings.

Do you have Windows and macOS on the same drive or separate ones ?

Separate drives. All together 4 drives, 1 SSD for Mac OS,1 for WinOs (partitioned and non-WinOs part is used by Mac and Win for storage, swapping files between OSs ) 1 for TM and 1 for extra storage

Hello!
I'm looking to build one of these hacks for my gf but I'm a bit lost on the monitor part. I've got already the LG 4K but I don't entirely get what needs to be done

If I only have 1 4k display do I need to do the modifications?. If yes, do I need to do both Rehabman guide and the other guide linked to this guide?

thanks a lot!

If you're using an additional GPU that is 4k capable, just follow this guide and setup the additional GPU.

If you want to use the onboard gpu only, and want 4k then you can;
follow this thread for a comprehensive description of the general process, but
use the settings listed in the alternative thread to finalise the settings for working using just the iGPU and, (gets you about 2k)
then do the alterations in the 4k Thread to get upto the full 4k.

Thanks @nicksoph! No, I'm planning on using the 7020 Mini Tower version but for now I will use the HD4600. But feels nice to know there's room to upgrade to an external GPU as well.

My concern is also that using scaling mode to 2450x1440 in a 4k display (that should be 1920x1080@2x) on the HD4600 puts a lot of work on the iGPU. In fact I'm currently running my 4k display with my 2017 Macbook Pro with RX560 and sometimes it struggles with the scalling. Works fine if I run the display at the original 1920x1080 (@2x) resolution tho.
