[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hello again. Just noticed that my Hackintosh recognizes my i9-9900k as an i7. See pic. Is this normal?

Please set CPU Type to 1005 as shown and reboot.

As a general statement, if AptioMemoryFix works on anyone's system, then it should continue to be used. On my system -- despite many trials -- it fails every time. However, if I remove the Fenvi FV-T919 then AptioMemoryFix works. So I continue to use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.

Casey,
Could you please provide a list of changes necessary to switch from ...free-2000 (per guide) to AptioMemoryFix?

My system does not use BT/WiFi.
I am currently using SMBIOS iMac 19,1 headless
Do I need to switch to VirtualSMC?

Thanks much!

I believe the requirements are as follows (based on various user reports from earlier in this thread):
  • No WiFi/BT card, although AptioMemoryFix seems to work for some people with WiFi/BT card plugged in.
  • VirtualSMC instead of FakeSMC.
  • slide=0 should be removed from Clover Configurator --> Boot Arguments, but try with and without.
  • iGFX enabled or disabled -- does not seem to matter.
  • SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 (with IGFX disabled) or iMac19,1 (with IGFX enabled). Macmini8,1 should also be okay.

Hi Casey. I have the same motherboard, i9-9900K and the Fenvi FV-T919. I've followed your guide (adv portion with no USB port limit patch with copying the 2 files over instead), and everything seems to have worked except the Bluetooth. WiFi on the card works fine. I have the cable attached from the card to the USB splitter. Nothing under Network showing Bluetooth. I'm not even sure how to start troubleshooting this. Any advice?

Thanks!

I do not have the Bluetooth icon up top nor in the system preferences.

Redid the USB header and reduced it to just the CPU cooler and BT, and it works now. I feel like I need another USB header.

Small update for those in the audio field, hoping to daisy chain devices.

I can successfully run an Apollo 8P and my UAD Octo Satellite by daisy chaining them via Thunderbolt.
So: Designare z390 USB-C/TB3 -> USB-C/TB3 to TB2 Apple Adapter -> Apollo 8P -> Satellite Octo

No problems so far.

Hi, I just got my hackintosh, Z390 Designare, running Mojave. I just had this one doubt about the TB2-TB3 Apple Converter. The Apollo website says that the Apple converter isn't recommended by them. Instead they recommend couple other converters. I'm Planning to run the same on WIN 10 system, just wanted to ask if you could help me out with confirming the working status of the converter for macOS & Windows.

Thanks.

Also, not to forget that the adapter has like hundreds of bad reviews on the Apple website. Since you're using it, I just wanted to get some confirmation.

thanks
