i7 8700k / z370 (Unstable)

I'm officially pulling the plug on this build guys... this just isn't worth the hassle and stress. It's pretty much to the point of finding a needle in a haystack and I'm almost 99.9% sure it's hardware related unless that 00.1% is some kind of software issue that I'm totally oblivious too. It can't be this difficult to get this thing up and running without it shutting down randomly. If you kept up with this thread you know I've tried everything.

I'm going to be getting a refund on my processor from Intel and I think I can request a refund from Gigabyte for the MB since it's under warranty as well. Still not sure about the ram and power supply, I will be checking into that today. The graphics card is the newest part I have so I don't think that's the problem. I'm just going to get as much money back as I can and start fresh.

My last question on this is, what would you suggest parts wise? I want to build around the RX 580 and either a new 8700K or maybe an i9 9900K. I just want a rig that's as hassle free as possible and easy as possible to get up and running quickly as I've been using this as my main work computer (I'm a graphic designer and musician).

Lastly, thanks so much for being patient with me and doing all you can to help. I don't know what I would have done without this site and the knowledge you guys have.

Considering your system specs as you listed are pretty Ideal for Hackntosh I have to say that your problem must be whats call PBKC. There is no reason your system should not work, and I just do not see you getting this Manny bad hardware items since you have swapped them out. Have you even bothered trying to boot windows to test the hardware under an OS designed to run on your hardware?

For what it's worth, here is my current BIOS. I disabled the IGPU and the 4G decoding. Both ways still cause random shutdowns... I don't think it has anything to do with the BIOS. Please let me know if I totally overlooked something.

• Importance of ALL BIOS screens evident now
• System Tab has shown the BIOS in that board at present is Version 11. Year 2018
• Current BIOS that supports Intel 9 th Gen and better Stabilty are released since that version

I don't have a 9th gen chip lol I've said this multiple times now... I have the 8700K. I've seen other other people do fine with F11 BIOS.

I know you don't have 9th Gen Intel on Board now after the 2-4 swaps you had made per your own post. I am pointing out to you that a BIOS update that the manufacturer of the board claims to be a fix for unspecified stability issues and better RAM usage are factors most will consider useful to try when faced with a situation like yours which from the very beginning pointed to MoBo, NOT CPU as the possible cause to not work with CLOVER and modified drivers to use that board for Hackintosh.
You don't want try , it is fine with me.

Tried and didn't work. I'm still blaming it on a MB/Memory/PS issue. I'm only getting a new CPU because it's under warranty. I might as well as Intel has a 3 year warranty on their processors.

If you have not used Windows to test the hardware meant for it , you can try that to rule out a problem with any of the current hardware inside that Computer.
If you don't want try and want to use a Linux Live Disk (a Small Footprint Linux like Puppy variant) , you can create a Linux Bootable Flash Disk using Distribution Release: EasyOS 2.1 through Rufus ( a freeware for Windows to create Bootable USB disks) .
The EasyOS Flash Disk will run from RAM to its Desktop and you can check all the on-board hardware like Video, Audio, Ethernet , WiFi, USB ports etc. Since Hackintosh borrows a lot from Linux to make Windows hardware to Mac-like , you can gather a lot of information about your current hardware through a live disk.
