You can try this EFI this is mine, I think Pastrychef at one point referred to my EFI as barren. I would also turn the IGPU off since you really do not need it on, and IMO DRM content works the best without the IGPU enabled.

I guess I'll try my backup drive and see if I can get into it that way.

Look in /EFI/BOOT/ and make sure the BOOTX64.efi file is there.

Yep, it's there. I had to use my backup to get into the main drive. Not sure what's up. May try yours @scottkendall - will let you know if it does the trick.

Doesn't make sense. In your video, it's clear that it's not even loading Clover.

Is your BIOS set for "Other OS" and UEFI only?

I know... that video is the F12 boot option. It won't even go to the Clover screen when I boot, it just goes straight to BIOS setup. There's no such option as "Other OS"

I don't know why Clover doesn't load on your setup... It has to be some setting in BIOS...

I'm officially pulling the plug on this build guys... this just isn't worth the hassle and stress. It's pretty much to the point of finding a needle in a haystack and I'm almost 99.9% sure it's hardware related unless that 00.1% is some kind of software issue that I'm totally oblivious too. It can't be this difficult to get this thing up and running without it shutting down randomly. If you kept up with this thread you know I've tried everything.

I'm going to be getting a refund on my processor from Intel and I think I can request a refund from Gigabyte for the MB since it's under warranty as well. Still not sure about the ram and power supply, I will be checking into that today. The graphics card is the newest part I have so I don't think that's the problem. I'm just going to get as much money back as I can and start fresh.

My last question on this is, what would you suggest parts wise? I want to build around the RX 580 and either a new 8700K or maybe an i9 9900K. I just want a rig that's as hassle free as possible and easy as possible to get up and running quickly as I've been using this as my main work computer (I'm a graphic designer and musician).

Lastly, thanks so much for being patient with me and doing all you can to help. I don't know what I would have done without this site and the knowledge you guys have.

I found my Z370 motherboard to be highly compatible and extremely easy to build around. I also feel that the Asus BIOS is easier to work with than Gigabyte's.

I find the same thing. I can't help but think this is a bios setting issue.

Before giving up, would care to send photos of your entire bios?

• Your CPUs are NOT the problem
• I am not sure about your chosen MoBo's health from the outset
  • I can't remember you ever uploading the Screen shot that would show its BIOS Version on it to suggest a BIOS Update as a remedy.​

Please don't take it as anything personal: it is NOT . I want readers of this post to get some benefit and that is to provide more information and never less about the hardware to get the best help.​
• I know pastrychef favors Asus MoBo but I prefer Gigabyte. I had used Asus a lot in early days of Windows and Linux and Hackintosh Mountain Lion but gave up on it because of its BIOS setup options are generally more 'rigid' and 'attuned' toward its major client Microsoft than hackintoshers therefore less malleable than Hackintoshers would prefer to have in a motherboard. This is my personal opinion and I suspect more hackintoshers use Gigabyte than any other Manufactured MoBo
