Clover bootloader gone after shrinking partition in Win10

Had both Windows 10 and macOS on the same SSD in dual boot. On Win10 disk utility, all the space used by Hackintosh appeared as unallocated space so I had half of the drive for Windows 10 and half for mac (unallocated). I needed to shrink a bit the Windows partition and I did, but what happened after is that the Windows partition did in fact shrink (by contrast, unallocated space got bigger) but now Clover bootloader is gone and I can no longer boot into mac.

Using a data recovery software I discovered that all mac files are there untouched in the "unallocated" partition, so I was wondering: is it possible to restore the bootloader somehow? Or at least boot using USB and then - once mac is accessed - restore the bootloader from there?

Hi there.

Yes, use your UniBeast installer drive to boot the PC and select your macOS from the Clover menu there. Things might not be fully working but you should get to desktop.

Run Disk Utility to check the disk. Run First Aid to verify the macOS partition is still ok. Check the Disk IDs in use. Usually macOS is on disk0 (as an example, yours may differ and is dependent on which macOS you are using) disk0s2 is the main drive, disk0s1 is the EFI partition.

Run EFI Mounter v3 to mount the EFI partition, if its there. Copy any EFI folder there over to somewhere safe in case you need any of the contents while getting things fully working again (serial-numbers etc).

Use MultiBeast to install a new Clover bootloader.

Probably best to use a Mac-specific disk resizing utility to 'fill' that blank space you created. See if you can find a 30-day trial, or similar, of a pro utility.

First, thanks for the reply!
I no longer have the UniBeast drive. Tried to make a bootable Clover USB from Windows and booting from it, macOS does not appear in the list of disks available. Does this mean that system is gone?

I should add that I was using Clover in legacy mode.
