which i7 are you using? You need to enable the iGPU in bios (just don't hook a monitor to it) or search the forums on how to get "Quick Look" working.
it's a 2700 but I'm looking to change to 4770k or 4790, now it working igpu enabled! In your opinion it's better move to newest LGA 1151 and buy a new i7 9th generation by changing MB ram etc? or stay on LGA1150?
thank you!!!!

If everything works and you are happy, save your money. The HD3000 already won't work as your primary GPU. The fact that it works for quick view and fills in the gaps is kinda cool. When your setup is no longer compatible with the OS, it will be time to switch. Also, a capacitor or something else will eventually blow on the motherboard and will force you to switch.

Until then, you can save your coins so you can buy something really cool and powerful next. I just played with the Z67 / i7-2600k system I gave my son and it is still very respectable. IF I were to change now, I'd go with a Z370 or Z390 board with an i3-8100 or i3-8350k. They are very respectable 4 core chips that will do what most people need/want.

Is there any available driver for high-end nvidia GPU + Mojave 10.14 yet?

F@ck with Mojave. Mojave adds nothing but slowness. I'm very disappointed with its performance on my MacBook Pro. Safari is uselessly slow, no Cuda anymore, everything lags on a 2.7 Mhz i7, as if it were a Pentium. I'm very happy with High Sierra on my Hackintosh. It will take me some convincing evidence to change to a newer OS.

High Sierra and Mojave are both great.

2.7 doesn't matter so much as which generation i7 you have does. If this is an older 2012 or so MBP then naturally the newer OS will be less responsive. For example, the most stable I recall my 2012 MBP is with Mavericks. It really worked well with little.

On a proper machine all these versions of OS are great. You should stay on High Sierra if you're happy with it's performance.

I don't know why you're having "slowness". I really like Mojave, it runs great for me.

I don't have any issues with Safari. It's still my go-to browser of choice.

While no speed demon, my 2.2GHz i5 (turbos up to 2.7GHz) handles simple daily stuff fine.

I remember when people said Snow Leopard was the best and they would never switch... Then Mountain Lion... Now, High Sierra... I wonder how those guys are doing on Snow Leopard...

Update...

So as it turns out I was able to fix this problem myself.

The graphics is still very choppy, which is expected as 'hardware acceleration' is not available with this workaround, which I knew reading this post, but I still expected the system to recognize the graphics card and still be able to use my 3 monitor setup.

I changed the flags on boot up:

If you happen to have a similar setup to mine with the 750Ti Graphics Card, then this might work for you too.
  1. I think it is NV_disable=1 -- turn this one OFF
  2. Use NVidia Web Drivers Option -- turn this one ON - It's a little confusing, when this option is highlighted it is ticked, but when you move away from the option the tick disappears, but then run the boot with the options, and this seems to have worked for me.
So you can see from the screenshots attached, the About This Mac, it now shows the Graphics Adapter with full memory, and the monitors section shows the identified displays... all three of them.

The only issue I seem to be having is that I cannot use the App Store, probably to do with the Serial Number that is showing, if anyone knows how I can easily change this to use the App Store, that would be really helpful. It's interesting though, I can use Messenger and if I receive a phone call it shows up.

I just hope that Apple and NVidia get things sorted and they release the new version of the Web Drivers, but I am happy for now.

Hi there. I got my nvidia card to work with this software https://github.com/chris1111/Fix-Old-NVIDIA-macOS-Mojave/releases/tag/V1. It worked on my old gt 8600 and quadra card. Hope it works for you.

♂️ still no compatible web drivers for Mojave yet, anyone have an idea?
