Since I am using a GTX 760, I didn't need WhateverGreen kext. However, you will need it and Luli for AMD cards.

I don't have any TB1 devices, but I do use an Apple TB1 to Firewire adapter which appears to work w/o problems.

That's exactly what I had to do was use Luli as well. And, yup all the AMD cards are working in unison with the Intel HD4000. This is very impressive machine so, far.

I do have TB1 devices that work. They aren't always loaded which is why I say it is unreliable. But, then again this is the same on the MacBook Pro, I use with TB1. Again, this reminds of when we had to use kexts to get USB3 working. Very similar situation.

Hey, Stork. I noticed 10.4.6 was released recently. Do you feel the need to upgrade or stay on 10.4.5? Thank you.
Go for it! It should be an easy update. Follow my Post #2 in the tonymacx86 update thread.

Yes the HD4000 & AMD cards work well together as basic accelerated GUI.
But not if you need H/W encode/decode of video based on HEVC codecs. The HD4000 cannot do HEVC and if it is enabled then then the AMD card is ignored and the CPU is used to encode/decode HEVC based video. Also, H.264 encode will crash in certain apps.

The only way to get video to encode/decode with i7-3700K system is to use iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS model ID and DISABLE the HD4000 in BIOS.

Um, I am getting H.264 encode/decode with the HD4000. Plus, FCPX uses all my 3 GPUs for the rendering, playback, and application of effects. That was part of the reason I wanted a build like this. I will add that all the GPUs would be accessed with two RX 560 GPUs not with one for some reason. Weird??? Yes, VERY!!!

I would like anyone's help here. What settings do I use in Clover Configurator to have Mojave use my CPU OC from the UEFI BIOS? Right now, I am locked to 3.5 GHz on this i7 and that simple won't do. LOL

Rendering, playback and effects is very different from ENCODE/DECODE. Yes the AMD GPU will be used for that (it's what I refer to as "accelerated GUI" but when it codes to finally creating your output files - i.e. ENCODE, then the AMD GPU will NOT be used but instead HD4000 + CPU (for H.264) and for HEVC (H.265), ONLY the CPU will be used.

That's what I am trying to say. It does fully utilize all the GPU processors with FCPX. I'll admit I don't know everything. I do know what my activity monitor is showing me and it's certainly showing me that I am utilizing all the GPU processors with FCPX.

Yes but you missed the point about ENCODE/DECODE. Those processes are MUCH more intensive than rendering and something that the 3770K nor the HD4000 GPU particularly powerful at compared to the AMD GPU. And for ENCODE/DECODE FCPX does NOT utilise the AMD GPU if your HD4000 is enabled and you are NOT using iMacPro1,1 model ID. If you are using iMacPro1,1 model ID then the AMD GPU will be 100% utilised during ENCODE/DECODE.

You've proved a valuable point. Thank you very much. I appreciate having good people on these forums that help me understand terms and computer functions.
