Like Oddless said, the Bios UI isn't special, but this motherboard has excellent VRM and features. Not many people talk about this, but the audio is really good too. It can really move the drivers in my cans (BeyerDynamic Custom One Pro's) and no hiss detected in my IEM's (iBasso IT01'S).

I have absolutely no regrets getting this board. Do wish we had a switch to change Bios's.

OK, so the rig is assembled and running. Hardware wise, everything seems to be playing nice (including the Ballistix Sport LT memory @gino8080), but time will tell. For the record, the board came with BIOS version F9 so that's a little newer.

Install wise, it hasn't been smooth sailing...

It seems the latest version of Clover (r5018) does not install *-64 drivers in drivers64UEFI. When I get to that step, it installs them in drivers/UEFI and they lack the -64 in the name. It also apparently wipes out previously installed kexts and drivers but leaves the config. Unless I'm doing something incorrectly, I would advise against that step in the install process, or, at least swap 2c and 2d. I ended up not installing the latest Clover and finally got it to boot to the installer.

Anywho, I've run into snags along the way aside from the newest Clover installing things a little differently; Hangs at +++++, straight up kernel panics and the latest (before I had to come to work), a corrupt installer. I'll have to reformat the USB drive and run Unibeast again to see if it solves it.

To be cont'...

Ok, up and running, though I have a few minor "glitches" mostly around graphics, but some instances of the spinning beachball of death.

1. I let the computer go to sleep, but when it woke, my screen never came back.

2. I tried to run a Metal Geekbench on the Vega 56... it did not like that. Screen freaked out a bit, settle but was unresponsive. Had to reboot.
UPDATE: Supposedly, there's a bug in Apple's AMD drivers and I'm wondering if anyone else with a Vega card is able to do an OpenCL or Metal Compute benchmark. I have some odd pink lines during boot and a solid pink screen when rebooting/shutting down. Supposedly purely cosmetic https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/radeon-vega-64-lc-mojave-pink-stuff-problem.280614/#post-1982490

3. Finder won't open a .pkg file. :beachball: (although, this could have something to do with the fact my user directory is on a separate SSD and I just linked my new account to the old volume/path). This turned out to be iCloud related. Clearing out the Cache folder and turning off/on iCloud Drive solved the beachball problem.

Will attach EFI if anyone wants to take a gander...

But first, some obligatory screenshots...

Thanks for the great head start @blouse and @psedog. Much appreciated.

Hi blouse,

Could you possibly share your most recent config.plist? The last one I found in the posts doesn't seem to tie in with the settings on the top post

Cheers

Between our two systems we definitely have differences. Your Config has different options. Also, our Kext and Driver folders are different. I won't tell you how to fix it. I'll show the differences and you can decide what you want to do. This is the best way to learn as well as to see what is right for your specific system.

In all of the pictures the top is mine and the bottom is yours. I also attached my FakeSMC as you have one that will not work with our Radeon cards to show us the correct temperature. Also, make sure to have a backup config.plist. Clover will sometimes completely wipe it when you save. Other times you may mess something up and it's much easier to just select another config to get your system back up.

Thanks for looking @psedog. Regarding the kexts, I don't remember seeing EFICheck or RTCMem referenced in any of the guides, are they necessary? I don't need NoVPAJpeg (from what I can tell) quicklook and Preview work fine and have IGPU in headless mode.

Have installed everything since zero. I've formatted USB Pendrive, reinstalled UniBeast, but NOT the latest Clover.
Got the system working, but the video was a little "little"! hehehehehehehe

But still no HD to install...

All they appears in BIOS, but no one shows UEFI...
What am I doing wrong?

remove all hard drive except the one you wish to install OS on and it should show fine

No... Nothing different... All HD on BIOS, no one UEFI, and I have no place to install system!
