My apologies, I wasn’t asking for help, just stating that in my case, (Asus Rog Strix GTX1080) I saw no performance difference with gpu power management successfully enabled (benchmarks, thermals, and acoustic performance remained the same)

by verifying IOReg/AGPM/Nvidia/Heuristic-ID: 4 (nvidia) and using the machine for a month while noting the acoustic, thermal, and overall smoothness of the system... if there are other ways to see if the performance has changed, I'll try those too (my day to day work does not push the 1080 to it's max though, and I don't game in OSX)
