Thank you! This seems to have worked!

I got one issue left now:
The system will immediately wake from sleep, without me touching the keyboard or anything.

Do you have an idea how to fix that?
Should I try another USB card?

First, please see the section Fixing Sleep and Wake Issues.
If this alone does not fix the problem then do this after the system wakes immediately from sleep:

• Run Terminal and type: pmset -g log | tail -100 > ~/Documents/sleeplog.txt
• This will create a file called sleeplog.txt in the Documents folder. Upload that file.
• If the cause is not immediately clear from the log file, then it becomes a process of elimination:
  • Remove all USB connections except keyboard and mouse. This includes USB devices connected to internal F_USB header.​
  • Does sleep work with just keyboard and mouse?​
  • If so, reconnect one USB device at a time until sleep fails again. That is the offending device. Let us know which device that is.​

Curious... how did you get to the 379 value? I've been playing around with this trying to follow the dev's instructions reading the memmap output in the efi shell. However, struggling to follow the concise instructions.

I just finished my first Hackintosh computer, I'm very happy with its operation, all components work except my LaCie d2 Thunderbolt 2 4TB drive because the 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports built into my Gibabyte Z390 Designare (rev.1.0, Bios V F6) I think they are not installed correctly.

The Lacie d2 is connected to the motherboard via TB2 to TB3 adapter (Original Apple Adapter) but its blue light flashes continuously without actually starting its internal hard drive.

My Hackintosh Pc Setup: SMBIOS iMacPro1,1 on Majve 10.15.5 (Z390 Designare + i9 9900k + Radio RX 580 + 2x Corsair 16MB - 3200 Mhz + EVGA Supernova G2 850W 80 Plus Gold Modular.


The configuration/Setup Bios is: (Gibabyte Z390 Designare, Rea 1.1 & Bios V.F6)


Peripherals (Main Menu)

--> Thunderbol(TM) Configuration

** Discrete Thunderbolt (TM) Support - Enabled
** TBT Vt-d base security - Disabled
** Thunderbolt Boot Support - Disabled
** Wake From Thunderbolt(TM) Devices - Enabled
** Security Level - No Security

--> Discrete Thunderbolt(TM) Configuration

** Thunderbolt Usb Support - Enabled
** GPIO3 Force Pwr - Enabled
--> DTBT Controller 0 Configuration

Hello @wiinilo,

User @tadros experienced the same issue around July 3 in this thread. You may search for his posts for more information. If your LaCie drive is a Thunderbolt 1 device then it might not work on this system. If it's a Thunderbolt 2 device it should work.

So the first action item is to find the actual specs of your device -- or perhaps the date of manufacture:

• 2011, 2012, up to October 2013: Thunderbolt 1
• October 2013 to late 2015: Thunderbolt 2 (same connector as Thunderbolt 1)

I have attached the log file.
This happened when devices were connected to the card, but it also occurred when nothing was plugged into the card.

Do you have an idea? It seems like it detected some false-positive activity which caused it to wake.

If it’s really TB2 then it should show up in IORegistryExplorer, so please try running that and select File —> Save As... then upload the saved file. Hopefully the LaCie device will appear as a child node under RP05.
