How to Create a macOS Catalina Public Beta Installation USB

Tried to upgrade to Catalina and got the boot loop. Successfully restored to Mojave.. I'm guessing Clover had not been updated to handle the upgrade. Anyone have success doing it as of late?

None of the modern Nvidia graphics cards are supported natively in Mojave nor Catalina. Nvidia has not released drivers for Mojave nor Catalina. So, you either stay on High Sierra or purchase a modern AMD graphics card that Apple supports natively, such as the Sapphire RX 580 Pules 8GB graphics card. BTW, any card you use in Mojave & Catalina must be Metal (Apple's graphics standard).

Ok I am going to dive in this one! Just two quick questions. I saw someone mention GT 710 as compatible card. I have GT730 and it is currently working with full graphic accelearation on Mojave. Safe to assume, it is supported OOB on Catalina?

Also, what happens when new beta is released? Do folks re-do the whole process written here or just upgrade from settings?

Yes, the GT 730 will probably work in Catalina. (Note, while I have 700 series graphics cards, I have not tried Catalina, yet. Too, buggy for me now.)

It's my understanding that the Public Beta releases have all been full installers. You can make a new USB installer and install right over the previous version.

Does this instruction work for NVMe SSD out of the box?

Yes...unless you are going to use a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD which will require a Samsung firmware update.

Can I use the same config.plist from MacOS Mojave build?

Here's a quick guide to create a macOS 10.15 Catalina Public Beta Installation USB using Clover. Please note, this guide is not universal, and may not work for all systems.

Thanks Tony, works great on my Studio hack!

Is UniBeast necessary if all the instructions are followed to make the USB? I assume then MultiBeast to Mac the internal drive bootable...

UniBeast creates an installer, MultiBeast is for installing Clover and kexts, etc.
