Hi Helpers
I recently attempted to re-install Mojave on my machine because I was getting no-where with Audio.
Unfortunately this has produced a result where the Clover installer fails at the last step of installation. I have attached the config.plist, the kexts, and the photos of the verbose log. Hoping I've made a simple stupid mistake. I know it will work on this hardware as it was working last week.
Thanks in advance.

Most interesting ! I disconnected the Display Port Cable and attached HDMI. Everything works now, but still don't have sound through the green jack on the MB. So all this grief with now outcome. Once I feel brave enough, I might retry the DisplayPort cable.

For your audio - no need to re-install anything.

Try these two ideas first after removing the AppleALC.kext and rebuilding caches:

1) You have quite a few ACPI patches that might not be necessary but one you do need is in the screengrab below.

This can actually be done with MultiBeast too, I'll show you in the next step, but doing so separately - one at a time - helps identify and isolate any problems. I leave the choice up to you.

You need an additional rename:

2) Once the above is in place do NOT use AppleALC again to get audio working, instead use MultiBeast 10.4 (MultiBeast 11.3 no-longer includes separate drivers) to add the ALC1220 audio drivers. Before you do though, go to the System/Library/Extensions folder and make a backup of your AppleHDA.kext to somewhere safe. The procedure below modifies this kext and if it doesn't work you can simply put the unmodified kext back (and rebuild caches etc) :

Don't add anything else. Yet.

If the above does NOT work then the next step is to check the "Audio ID" setting - that's option "2" I've marked above.

(Option "1" is the MultiBeast way of adding the HDEF rename I mention in 1) above.)

Yes, you can do it all in one go using MultiBeast and there's nothing wrong with that. Doing the job in two parts though, helps you identify where the problem is.

Hopefully this will work for you. It generally works well for Gigabyte Z270 motherboards.

:)
