Hi guys, I'm trying to install Mojave 10.14.5 on LG gram 17" 17z990, whiskey lake i7-8565U, uhd620, 16Gig RAM, 512GB+1TB SSD. The booting process stuck at some point in the middle. I've already read several posts here of successful installation of Mojave on whiskey lake system, so I suppose my system should at least get to the installer window. But it's not.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Screenshot as well as Clover config and data is attached

Thank you

I tried with different device-id 16590000, 923E0000 and A53E0000 in Devices/Properties and with and without fake ig-platform-id. I also removed all injections to ati/nvidia. The result is the same. The booting process hangs in the middle.

The problem is, it seems those ApplePS2Controller things are loading properly. It's what comes after that is the problem... I tried your clover, and got as far as you did. I think I may reboot my hackintosh desktop this afternoon, and see what I can see there. The problem does seem to be IO related, as all the most recent extensions in the boot, according to your screenshot are IO-related... maybe USB or Thunderbolt?

Edit: Trying to watch my desktop boot wasn't successful. First of all too fast, but I never saw anything re: ApplePS2 flying by. Worse, I got a couple kernel panics, which I've never gotten before.

I'm sure we'll figure this out eventually. I desperately want My Gram 17 under MacOS, even if only for the couple apps I really need it for (Keynote and Nisus Writer Pro)

Hello all! i'm looking to pick up on of the LG Gram 17s this week. Have any of you had success with installing Mojave?

Not yet. Read above
I've got some progress since that. At the moment I have
fully working:
  1. graphics with QE/CI,
  2. sleep,
  3. battery indicator.
  4. backlight
Partly working:
  1. bluetooth - it is working after linux booting. Probably, linux loads a firmware to the device, which persists between soft reboots
  2. audio - with layout 3 I have mic, line-in and speakers, with layout 21 I have only headphones.
  3. 4k monitors over hdmi - only have 2560x1600@60Hz and less resolution modes on my 4k monitor. Linux and windows can use this monitor at 3820x2160@30Hz
WIP:
  1. i2c touchpad,
  2. hdmi audio

Great! How'd you get it to boot? Can you drop your new clover here? or share what you did to get past your block? TIA

Here it is. First you have to update your LG update center from windows, then use this clover. Touchpad is working now. To use BT you have to boot ubuntu 18.04.02 or alike first after the hard reset (full shutdown)

Amazing news !! I also read on MacRumours that the LG update need be done in order to get to the installation menu. Question as i'm a newbie: i want to do raid 0 with 2 samsung 970 evo ssds. Once I do the update via LG control center on the included ssd, If i then remove it to do the raid 0 install should i be ok with the mojave install?

Yes, you should be fine. The update makes some changes in the internal part of the laptop (bios and/or dsdt) That's why the macos installation becomes possible.
