[GUIDE] General Framebuffer Patching Guide (HDMI Black Screen Problem)

Alex,

Please try the attached config.plist as follows:
  • Mount EFI partition of Mojave SSD. You can do this from Hackintool as follows:
    View attachment 412440
  • Backup the current EFI/CLOVER/config.plist.
  • Rename the attached file to config.plist and copy it to EFI/CLOVER folder.
  • Reboot.
  • Run Hackintool and check the Info page again.
  • Also connect HDMI cable to motherboard and see if it works.
YEEEEEEEEESSSSSS :clap::clap::clap::clap::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang: SOLVED!!!!!

@CaseySJ I'm still experiencing those issues from the video any idea what else I can try or whom else to contact?

Edit: I've contacted some other people with an ASUS N580VD laptop. All have the same problem, even those with different variants. ex. 4K display or i5 CPU...

Here's a link to the topic: ASUS N580VD - Black Built-in Display
Just replied to your thread here:

Yes, definitely. It means there's an exception I haven't accounted for. Please try Hackintool v2.6.4.
Ditto on post #707! :)

Hey @CaseySJ when you get some time can you please check out the Added LSPCON driver support and the fix for infinite loop on establishing HDMI connections on IGPU addition to WhateverGreen. I've added support in Hackintool v2.6.7 but nothing has been tested yet. Feedback would be much appreciated.
Certainly! Because this affects laptops that have an HDMI 2.0 port connected via LSPCON driver to the iGPU, we'll have to wait for some willing guinea pigs!

If anyone reading this has such a laptop with HDMI 2.0 and you're having trouble displaying 2K or 4K video, please let us know...

Hello Guys,

I installed Mac OS Mojave in a Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF, I was able to make 2 of my 3 monitors work, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or my graphics card is not able to handle 3 monitors on Mac OS.

My board has an Intel HD530 graphic card with 2 Display ports and 1 HDMI, The ports that are working are the HDMI and 1of the 2 Displayports,

This is my first Hackintosh build, I'm lacking experience on this.

Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF
Motherboard: Dell HD5W2
CPU: i5-6500 Skylake
Graphics Card: Intel HD530

Index 1 -- > busID 0x05 Corresponds to my HDMI port
Index 2 -- > busID 0x04 corresponds to 1 of the Displayports

Hello, same issue for me, see my post on whatevergreen thread. With hackintoool i can see that 3 monitors are detected, (even with ioreg) but only two are displayed on prefpanes.

@drunkydr : your config.plist seems strange, are you using macbook pro smbios?
With my tiny lenovo (I7-6700T + HD530, using smbios imac 16.1) i have succeeded to have 3 monitors working, until the last patch of OSX 10.14.5 where only two are working.

I've made a large number of changes to your config.plist so please backup the current one and try the new one. Some of the changes are:
  • Switched to iMac17,1
  • Set platform ID to 0x19120000
  • Set device-id to 0x1912
  • Enabled frame buffer connector patches as follows:
    • Index 1: Bus ID 0x05: Type HDMI
    • Index 2: Bus ID 0x04: Type DP
    • Index 3: Bus ID 0x02: Type DP
  • Removed all previous Devices --> Properties
  • Removed all previous Devices --> Add Properties
  • Removed a number of unneeded ACPI patches
No guarantee this will work or whether it will make things worse, but this is a step in the right direction towards cleaning up the config.plist.

Please rename and give it a try. If you encounter problems, it would be good to post your IOReg file by running IORegistryExplorer and simply selecting File --> Save As...

Please specify your CPU, GPU, and motherboard in Account Details so they appear under your profile. This is required when asking for help.
