Catalina is all x64 only? Will it support x86 at all?

No, you cannot run any 32bit executable in Catalina. All system shipped dylibs are stripped of i386 versions, and trying to execute a 32bit binary fails with EBADARCH

I fear for my Steam library

does catalina still support open gl/cl ?

Yes, OpenCL/OpenGL are still there, but depreciated just like Mojave. It will for sure be gone in 10.16, I'd be surprised if it's still there by then.

By September 2019, the Mac Pro will come out and many major companies such as Adobe, Black Magic, Otoy, RED, all have vowed to support Metal fully instead of OpenCL.

Nvidia cards will not work, just like in Mojave, right?

Wow that's not cool for the time being. I'll need to figure out what apps I use that are 32 bit and decide if it's worth ditching them.
