Introduction
This thread is a X299 Clover/OpenCore support for macOS Catalina. Although primary support going forward will be for OpenCore, this thread is also open to Clover users.
It is a continuation of the excellent and well detailed guides from @kgp that he created for macOS High Sierra and macOS Mojave.
Major thanks to @kgp for all he has done for the hackintosh community and his dedication to supporting us. Wish him all the best!

Guides from @kgp:
macOS High Sierra
macOS Mojave

Additional X299 threads
macOS Mojave Support - Continuation of the macOS Mojave guide by @vincek8s after @kgp retired from the community.
macOS Mojave Open Core Support - Support thread for the new OpenCore bootloader. It is highly recommended to read the OpenCore documentation and Vanilla Desktop Guide.

NOTE: This post will no longer be updated, please refer to new X299 Support thread and this post

-32 Bit app support is completely gone and not coming back
-you will need to force beta flag for Lilu and WG (or build latest release via xcodebuild)
-Not sure if OpenCL/OpenGL is completely gone yet (most likely still there for old app support)

Has anyone been able to get Sidecar working? I see the Sidecar pane in Preferences, but, when I connect to my iPad (iPad Pro 12.9 2018), I just get a -401 error. I’m wondering if it has to do with not having an iGPU or the T2 chip.

I've seen people use Sidecar with a Hackintosh, I'll update my findings later as I have it installed on a second partition and have been meaning to try it.

It definitely seems to use H265, so make sure that's hardware accelerated on your system and of course your iPad has iPadOS13 PB.

Yeah I’ve seen a couple too but no iMac Pro specific builds. Pretty sure it’s hardware accelerated but I’ll double check once I’m home. And yes my iPad is running dev beta 2 (same as public beta)

So, it just works by updating LILU WEG AppleALC and Clover in the EFI Folder? as simple as that?

Yep. You can also install on a new apfs container if you dont feel like using your main partition

is the first public beta enough stable? is it worth to be installed?

I noticed you got a 7980XE, I could get one for 1000€, should I buy it? Did you delidded/overclocked it? your performance/temps/cooling? how about them? I got a 360 AiO at the moment with no plans to go custom open loop.

Thanks.

I use a 360 AIO with that CPU. My station renders 4k and 8K video near 24/7 at 32-46*c depending on workload.

Thanks mate, how about clock / benchmarks?
