Tried the above.

Completely screwed now.

No response from monitor.
Can't even access BIOS menu.
Mouse keyboard no response.

Tried to remove battery still no luck.

Literally unable to see anything.

Ouch - Did you load optimized defaults, before flashing ? What step did it fail ? Was the bios meant for the motherboard? I have noticed that even though we select the right motherboard, the site sometimes showed bios for other models. I first downloaded a one for Z390 Plus, even though I selected Z390 Pro.

What can I do now?
Any idea?

Quite honestly, I'd try to RMA if its under warranty or see if we can reprogram the bios chip - you can get USB bios chip reprogrammers on Amazon.

Long story, I reverted it back to BIOS v0805. AFUDOS seems to be provided by the BIOS manufacturer AMI Megatrends. I got it from here. Posting the steps if someone runs into the same issue.

You will need 2x USB 2.0 drives for this, download the BIOS from here.

Step 0 : Disconnect all other hard drives and USB drives.

Step 1 : Get FreeDOS and create a bootable USB.
sudo dd if=FD12LITE.img of=/dev/disk2 bs=1m

Step 2 : Copy AFUDOS.exe, 0805.CAP, into the second USB (This is *not* the freedos one)
Plug in both USBs, power cycle/up the target host.

Boot up from the FreeDOS USB, and select "No, Return to DOS", You will end up with a DOS shell prompt (C:>) .

Step 3: cd into 2nd usb (Assuming its D:\) by typing
D:\

Step 4 : From the command prompt run

AFUDOS.exe 0805.cap /k /p /b /n /x

This will clear your BIOS and flash it with the version you provided.

My flashing erred out with "43 error clearing flash memory" or so, I just rebooted and finally did a 2nd flash with the EZ utility with the same CAP file, and it went well. (I guess). For me the 2411 version took out some settings in the bios like Dedicated GFX card selection. Machine seems to be working stable as of now with 0 issues.

Do you see any advantage of moving to v2012 ? I would be very skeptic of doing anything on the bios now unless there's a valid reason.
Thanks for the tip! I'm right now trying to reflash to an older BIOS. Not many advantages on 2012 tbh, advantage would be to run the newer BIOS, since they implement 32Gb mem sticks capabilities.. Such shame we can't have newer BIOS.

Perhaps there is a way with UBU, to load the packages for the updated memory config while retaining a valid BIOS version for our boards.. I'll need time to test this crazy idea...

I have a BIOS programming chip, but, if I'm correct, the BIOS is located near the last SATA port on the vertical array, and accessing the BIOS proves a feat to be honest.. I have a desoldering heat gun. But, if I heat the chip too much, I'm afraid I'll burn the SATA.. :(

I'd first try the method I listed before taking out the soldering iron. I went to an older BIOS using the method mentioned above. I also moved up to v2012. Again as Bigzbig saw, there's always an element of uncertainty in the outcome.
I couldn't make it the way you posted, I just simply could not get the thing to flash the bios.. As I was in FreeDOS and typed the
Code:
AFUDOS.exe 0805.cap /k /p /b /n /x
, nothing happened.. Kept teh blinking underscore for like 15 min an decided to turn off and try different approach (which killed the board :()

I'm unsure whether the USB drivers needed to be both of them USB2 and if the format was right... I had them formatted in FAT32, MBR..

I don't know, I just bricked the board using the guide in the post you mentioned (similar approach but different steps), so I had to put the board aside for now.. Its not coming back to life either, just doesn't post.. Stays black all the way, nothing happens...

Hello guys, there is no need to rollback anymore!
Now we can go for 128GB of RAM
Code:
# Patch 1
find: A00A9353 54415301
replace: A00A910A FF0BFFFF

# Patch 2
find: A00A9353 54415301
replace: A00A9353 43535301

Use the first code as first try, if not, the second, if not, use them both!

Another possible way to fix it is using this SSDT table attached (not confirmed by me tho)
EDIT: SSDT table tested and working!

Enjoy guys

So how solid is this motherboard? I have had the Gigabyte Z390M Gaming going for a while, and it all of the sudden has crapped out on me and is acting up. I'm thinking of getting this motherboard as an alternative. I have never liked using Gigabyte anyway.

I have not had any issues with the motherboard yet, although I have not updated the BIOS since last November.

The only issues I have had so far with this Hackintosh were the clover upgrade from 2.4 to 2.5, which yes details were in the release notes, but comeon. And then the 10.14.6 upgrade didn't work for me via software update, I had to use the combo update.

I am thinking about building another two hackintoshes for my kids using this same mobo and video card.
