[Guide] Installing macOS Mojave (10.14.2) on Intel NUCi5BEH using Clover UEFI + updating to Mojave (10.14.6) on post#2

Before I start dredging through 48 pages of posts... I've been using the procedure in the OP and I'm having problems booting the install. Should I not be doing that and use something else instead.

My config is:
  • NUC 8i7BEH
  • 16gb of Corsair vengeance DDR4-2400
  • Crucial SATA SSD
I'm using the procedure, kexts, drivers and install config.plist from the OP.

Some of the issues I see are show in the attached screenshot from the boot.

Any guidance would be awesome.

See post 430 in this thread. It trys to explain the issues you are having and how to get past them.

I can install now. Thanks. Funny how having the right parts makes things work. :)

When I boot the system after install, it complains that the drive isn't bootable. I'm assuming that's because I haven't put the new clover stuff on it. What do I need to do that?

Boot from the usb drive, download the clover boot loader and install for UEFI then while the EFI partition is still visible ( before rebooting) replace the EFI folder same as before. Reboot to the hard drive and cross fingers.

Not sure about this part "download the clover boot loader and install for UEFI". I mounted the SSD EFI partition and copied APPLE, BOOT and CLOVER from the USB stick to it.

Did it boot? You can research clover and how to install. It’s something you will need to be familiar with. I posted how before and there have to be other posts and videos to walk you through it.

I'm familiar with clover since I used the OP's procedure to create the usb stick. I'll do more research on how to use clover on the installed disk. Thanks for your help!

I get it now. I need to run clover from the newly installed and booted macos disk. That makes sense. I just need to figure out why I'm ending up with a non bootable drive. More investigation needed. :)

This is from page one of this guide, same technique for installing to your ssd or had. Once complete delete the EFI folder and replace it with mine.

Installing Clover UEFI on USB

Run the Clover Installer package:
- select the target of the install to "CLOVER EFI" using "Change Install Location"
- select "Customize" (the default is a legacy install -- we need to change it)
- check "Install for UEFI booting only", "Install Clover in the ESP" will automatically select
- check "BGM" from Themes (the config.plist files I provide use this theme)
- the defaults for Drivers64UEFI are recommended

Big thanks for @Leesureone and post #430!
My NUC8i5BEK2 bios v71, installed with BCM943602CS wifi/BT card and 250GB SSD is working on Mojave 10.14.5

I was trying 3 days, reboot after reboot, nothing was really working. But after uploading EFI from post #430, everything start to work.
