pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Are you saying HDMI/DisplayPort audio is not working? I didn't have to do anything special to get it to work with my system...

Please post your EFI folder.
Thanks for replying. Yes, I do not get any audio thru HDMI/DisplayPort. I have a Sapphire 11276-02-40G Radeon Pulse RX Vega 56 8GB specifically. I changed the graphics card from nvidia to amd vega.

Please make a backup of your existing EFI folder so that you can boot from it in case this one doesn't work and then try this one.

Thanks. I tried this but is still does not detect the HDMI display as an audio output. Do you think it has something to do with the fact I had nvidia gfx card before?

No, that should not be a problem. I also used an Nvidia card before.

Please try running Hackintool. Click on the PCI tab and see if you have the following:

Yes, that's it. Not sure why it's not working...

What do you see in System Preferences > Sound > Output?

Also, please run the following version of IORegistryExplorer, save the output, and post here.

Unfortunately, still the same :(

Please try removing WhateverGreen.

For some reason, the Vega audio is incorrectly being renamed to HDEF. It should be HDAU.
