Hello everyone, I am not sure if this is normal behaviour, but on Mojave on my Dell Inspiron 7567, if I go to sleep either by closing the lid or selecting sleep from the Apple menu, I have to press a keyboard button to show the login screen to type in my password.

When I had my previous HP Envy laptop, the login screen would automatically display from sleep without pressing a button which is my preferred method. Is there something in a SSDT Hotpatch to define this? Please let me know if there are any options. Thanks.

Hi Andrw0830. Have you tried these guys setup:
I do not think I have issues as you do.

I was wondering whether or not you could share you configuration files for your hackintosh build? I miss iGPU acceleration on my 7300HQ build(chess app is stuttering). I've tried some things but eventually they've failed. I'd really appreciate it.

THank you very much

Thanks for pointing out the files. Without changing too much I tried just applying the graphics kexts and config, but the laptop screen stayed black until I pressed a keyboard button. Again not a big deal as maybe that's what a real Mac does. Here is my files, just grabbed the debug ones to hope help answer the question here as well. You will notice in my files I use the Skylake CPU and GPU flags to fix certain graphical bugs mentioned in the Common Problems thread here so don't be alarmed.

that could be related to GPU flags. you shouldn't need many flags for GPUs in config.plist unless you use 4k screen

I am pretty sure that with their config, I was able to wake device by my wireless movement(which again may be the same thing). Anyways, yet again, I'd be really grateful if I could take a look at your config and I am sure it would mean a lot to a lots of new beginners out there. Thanks

Yeah the debug files I posted above should have all the files you need to see what I use. I have been working on this for awhile. I even made a custom AppleALC with the subwoofer working (you do have to choose from the other Internal Speaker). Let me know how it works for you.

Thank you very much!! I am still relatively new to all Hackintosh thing but I am slowly starting to get a grip of the things. I am now looking into patching of the DSDT. I have also observed that you use VirtualSMS, I'll have to see whether or not I can hot swap it with my FakeSMSC. Just one offside question => is it normal that my full HD screen is so bad in Mojave even after enabling font smoothening? On another side I do not think I have enabled graphical acceleration correctly as Chess app is stuttering...

is wake from sleep upon lid opening something that should be happening? I have to press the power button on my laptop to wake from sleep, and just figured that was normal behavior. If it really should be waking upon lid opening I can open my own thread to have it looked at, but just want to ensure what the normal behavior is before cluttering the forum with my own thread.

One of the things with Mojave to fix the font smoothening issue, you have to fake your device-id and CPU to use Skylake which I have done in my files that was posted and hopefully helps you out.

That's one question I wanted to see if anyone could answer if the login screen should be displayed upon wake from sleep without you having to press a button. Basically my computer if I open the lid, I see the power button light up, but the display will stay black. If I select sleep without closing the lid, I can move the Trackpad which I see the power light light up, but same thing where a keyboard button is needed to wake the screen. Not sure which way is to simulate a real Mac.

not sure if it makes a difference in the system, or difference in DSDT, but on my dell 7573 when I open lid the login screen is displayed automatically without pressing power button. but when laptop is open and goes to sleep, I have to press power button for laptop to wake
