[Guide][New VoodooI2C] Asus Vivobook S15 X510UAR 10.13+

Folks, does any of you ever experience a black screen when waking up from sleep, requiring you to power off (long press on power button) and power back on?

I don't have any black screen problem but sometimes it crashed during sleep and rebooted automatically after I open the lid. Maybe next time I will post the error message for the help.

Great! The package which also works for our Vivobook ELAN1300 trackpads can be downloaded at VoodooI2C Interrupts vs. Polling (entry created by @whatnameisit for his ELAN1200).

Just for clarification: your Asus Zephyrus for which you created this patch has ELAN1404, right ("1200" was a typo)?

My X510UA-BQ490 has ELAN1200 and williambj1 might have something different. I don't know where you got that ELAN1404. :?:

I'm running Mojave 10.14.4 (18E226) on my Asus Vivobook everything works excellent...the only thing i would like to do is disable the palm rejection because i use my trackpad while typing...does anyone know how i can go about doing that?

Your link "I [..]put together some patches at" points to Hackintosh-EFI-Asus-Zephyrus-S-GX531 with an ELAN 1404. The way you wrote it makes it appear as if that was your github page and your built. Just now I see that's someone else (williambj1).

hmm just to let you know even though it's not really gonna help ye: with VoodooI2C 2.0.3 in High Sierra 10.13.6, trackpad is *not* disabled while typing (which is why I taped the left 1/3 of the pad off with a slick looking silverish tape - looks like factory made). That way I feel I have "the best out of two worlds".

i want the trackpad to be able to move while i'm typing...

I knew about that "issue" since I started hackintoshing this laptop, but it's not much of a problem for me so I ignored...but it would be great if someone finds a solution. (And this has happened in 10.14.4 and 10.14.5. I haven't installed any other macOS)

a *moving* trackpad, wow, like 'The Monster Book Of Monsters'? Truly I cannot help with such. Enroll at Hogwarts or wait for the future .. ;)
