[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hi I upgraded successfully but lost sound. I had the patch implemented in the plist and can confirm it's still there. Any advice? Thanks
Two steps:
  • Use the attached config.plist.
  • Check that latest version of AppleALC (1.3.7) is installed in /Library/Extensions folder. If not, please download and copy it there, then run Kext Utility to rebuild kernel cache.

Thanks working - had to use Multibeast as manual library install didn't work for some reason

Appreciate it !

@CaseySJ Thank you thank you for your awesome guide.
I freshly installed 10.14.5 with zero problems.
bought all my gear in Switzerland and built it in France
-Core i9-9900K
-Z390 Designware
-Adata SX8200 M2
-Asus ROG Strix RX Vega64
-64GB Vengeance LPX

I use my hackintosh for FCPx professionally
and thanks to your amazing guide was able to save $$$ on an iMacPro etc
SO again
HUGE thank you

Thanks I did these steps and also updated Lilu and whatever green and still not getting sound (I do have sound via DisplayPort). Any other suggestions? Thanks so much for your help!
Found a typo in the Devices/Properties section. It should be PciRoot instead of PCIRoot. I've fixed this in the attached file, so please rename it and try. Although this fix was made to the iGPU, I wonder if it will affect the built-in audio as well.

Also, I think you can delete those Vega properties (2nd item in the Devices box). If you're on 10.14.5 you should not need that any longer!

Glad to hear it! Is your Vega running well without any fan and power properties?

What tool did you use to extract? also I got the same address 0x5C1 as yours, and I got MSR unlocked using this address.
With MSR unlocked, have you tried replacing OsxAptioFix2Drv-Free2000.efi with AptioMemoryFix-64.efi and removing slide=0?

It seems to be
I added your fix for ASUS ROG Fan AND Power
although now i'm confused...in the above post you say to remove the vega properties....
MacOS 10.14.5 has robust support for Vega 56, Vega 64, and Radeon VII. I'll add this statement to the build guide shortly, but for 10.14.5 we should not need to apply any fix whatsoever for these GPUs.

EDIT: Added the following statement in red to build guide:

Thanks deleted it and seems fine. Heaven won't open but maybe that's a mac thing .

Profile ?
It is because the real Mac with your chosen SMBIOS was released with a later version of the OS than the one that you are attempting to install.

That's what I meant, I got the terminology wrong since I'm brand new to this and still learning... SMBIOS is what I was referring to when I said profile.

I don't understand the question.

The answer's probably no anyway, but I was referring to if there was any kind of clover utility that allows you to install a Security Update into a bootable installer, i.e. 2019-003. I asked this because I'm assuming Apple's added new hardware definitions since the version of HS I downloaded last June.
