Hello

I investigated hackintoshing this Probook a couple of years ago when it was a Probook 11 EE G1 Pentium and Rehabman kindly pointed out the graphics weren't supported. (The EE is "Education Edition" - rubber encased so tough like a Land Rover, and ugly in a nice way like a Land Rover too. Dropable from waist height too so HP claim.)

Now - through the magic of eBay - it's a Probook 11 EE G2 i3. Straight swap of the motherboard. I've put in a spare drive, used Unibeast/Sierra/Multibeast to install, and OSX runs OK with some obvious expected issues to sort out.

So now I'm going to do it properly alongside Linux and Windows and will use Rehabman's hotpatch system as that's what I'm used to from a couple of Elitebooks I've got.

But Googling to find motherboard etc specs of computers is chronic - there doesn't seem to be any comprehensive databases anywhere. So I just wondered if the brains the size of a planet on here could look at these specs and point me towards a specific Probook/Elitebook/Zbook. I can't use generations as G1/2 for this bears no relation, or the processor as "normal" Probooks don't use i3's, so this is what is now in it:

Processor: Intel Core i3 6100U Skylake-U/Y
Chipset: Northbridge - Intel Skylake-U rev. 08, Southbridge - Intel Skylake-Y PCH rev. 21
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520

Any comments much appreciated. (CPU-Z report attached.)

make sure your config.plist matches a skylake one

also best to use latest clover version via sourceforge

Brilliant! I don't know why I didn't spot that list. There's an "HP Probook 450 G3 Intel Core i3-6100U with Intel HD Graphics 520 (2.3 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores)" according to HP - perfect match.

Thanks a lot. Are you Marvin?
