Can the Intel NUC6i5SYH also run the newer versions of Mac OS?

What about the problems concerning Bluetooth and NVMe SSD (or maybe some other issues I have not read yet)? Have these issues been solved in the meantime?

@DOCBJR: Does everything work now or are there still problems with Bluetooth and SSD? I use my NUC for office purposes. Thus, I have to make sure that everything works flawflessly before changing from Win10 to MacOS.

The NUC 6 has a soldered WIFI chip, so no WIFI or Bluetooth.

Thank you very much! I don't need Wifi but Bluetooth. But I think I could also do this with a separate dongle. What about the SSD problems? Do NVMe SSD work? I have a Samsung 970 EVO 250GB for booting the OS and a Sandisk SDSSDXPS240G for storing data.

I can't answer that, but I imagine so. I only have 1 internal SSD and it runs perfectly. If the NVMe doesn't work, I'd just get a 500 GB SSD now that they're really cheap. I doubt that you'd notice any speed difference.

Hi all,

I understand it has been quite some time no activity on this thread, but hope someone can provide me with any clue.
I managed to install Catalina using Clover5119 in my NUC6i3 with all newest kext of Lilu, VSMC, WEG and ALC. But I still cannot have audio over DP/HDMI. Anybody use this NUC having their digital audio works that can share the EFI?

Solved the problem. NUC6's Audio Device is with Intel Onboard and therefore needs to be injected with FakePCIID and FakePCIID_Intel_Audio properly configured in config.plist of OpenCore.
