The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

I have this exact issue......

What version of OSX are you running? Update to 10.14.5 released yesterday. It has native support for Radeons and proper fan profiles. I was running the beta for a month and haven't had that issue. You can also finally switch to 19,1 or 19,2 profile after the install as well.

Ok so after my first attempt, setting the BIOS, creating the bootable USB and swapping out the EFI foe the one in the DGPU.zip (the only file I Downloaded) I was able to to get to the, what looked like, the 2 minute remaining mark at install. then a restart. I then started over in verbose mode. Im not sure were to start with the error logs here. i checked my BIOS twice over but same result. Im not sure why the images are upside down but once clicked on they seem to render properly.

The Z390-E always seems to have this exact problem and we have been unable to figure out why. Make sure legacy USB is disabled. It may also be an NVRAM issue. When it freezes, did you do a manual reboot and try to continue install?

I found this on another thread, maybe try his EFI Folder, haven't looked at the differences yet but apparently there was some progress.

Maybe I didn't properly follow the thread but the Z390-E used to work properly until about 1.5 months ago. No harm in trying PastryChefs EFI though.

That was weird too. Along with -V, I i set it so it wouldn’t reboot on a panic. Never freezes though. Just end up back at the CBM. Three tries same result. Im going to try the recommended EFI when I get back to it.

Also, is it normal to no longer see the EFI partition of the drive when the USB is inserted back into the Mac it was created on?

Yes, it needs to be remounted every time you boot.

Hi all. I've seen Z390E, F & I here but no 'M''s so far. Should I expect any problems or drastic differences from what's been posted so far using the ASUS TUF Z390M-Pro instead? So far it looks like I should just be happy about the extra slots, disable the on-board WIFI and use a WIFI/Bluetooth card like the Fenvi.

I haven't received all my parts, yet, so I probably won't start building until next week. I have 3 Macs right now, but I'm hoping this will become my daily driver.

Thank you for all the work so far and for the very active forum.

Hello everybody, and many thanks to @ModMike to this great guide to install Mojave.

This is my first Hackintosh build. I expend a lot of time looking for a complete tutorial and this one was the motivation to build a powerful machine to code for Android and iOs.

Well well well lets start.
This is the hardware that I am using.

- Asus - ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING Mini ITX
- Intel Core i7-8700
- Sapphire RX 580
- Dell Wireless DW1560 802.11ac Broadcom BCM94352Z M.2 NGFF WIFI Card
(Ordered from China)
- WD Black NVMe M.2 2280 PCI 250GB Internal SSD (For Mojave)
- Crucial 2.5 inch 500 GB SSD (For Windows)
- Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB)
- NZXT H200i case
- NZXT Kraken m22 CPU Cooler
- NZXT Internal HUB USB 2.0

I replaced my Intel WiFi card by the Dw1560 as described by @ModMike

I did not update the BIOS firmware of my mobo, because I read in this thread that @ski4evr had problems with the latest version. I am using the 2012.

I just installed Mojave in my first Hackintosh build.

I already had installed Windows 10 in the Crucial SSD. So before install Mojave I did disconnect the ssd to avoid conflicts. The installation of Mojave was pretty smooth, I did not have any problem. I followed the guide step by step. Mojave flies, it is super fast. I can boot from the SSD. Wifi and bluetooth worked pretty well out of the box for the first time. I played a video from Youtube, using my JBL bluetooth speaker: everything was good. However after the step #22 by @ModMike (Set the 1st boot drive to your system drives UEFI partition. It will be pre-pended with UEFI) and restart, the bluetooth did not work anymore (Bluetooth not available). (I fixed using this guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/broadcom-wifi-bluetooth-guide.242423/)

My system sleeps including, RGB and fans. System wakes up with keyboard and mouse, but the screen does not give signal. I have to disconnect the HDMI and connect again or turn off and turn on the monitor to see the Mojave desktop.

**** What is working:
-Boot from SSD
-Wifi
-Sleep (fans and RGB LEDs included)
-Restart and shutdown
-Continuity (That I have tried)
-- iMessages
-- iCloud
-Ethernet
-All USB ports working. 2.0 and 3.1 (Custom USB SSDT)
-Working after update to Mojave 10.14.5
-Audio Jack in/out
-Microphone
-Windows SSD
-Bluetooth
-Wake

**** No working
-Bluetooth (worked the first time, after Mojave completed installation)
-Wake the fans and RGB but does not display nothing on monitor, I have to disconnect and connect hdmi cable

**** Not tested
- Benchmarks (I will do later)
