When I finished downloading 10.14.5 combo and running it. The system restarts but I never get passed the Clover Boot window, system restarts automatically, over and over...

Any ideas?

  • There will be multiple reboots at shorter intervals ( I guess about 3) and then
  • you will get a "45 minutes Remaining" screen
  • It won't take actually 45 minutes for the last boot to CBM screen and DISAPPEARANCE of Install macOSMojave icon.
  • At this time, you boot the MacOSMojave System Disk for its final boot to Login Screen that may take 16 minutes remaining screen to complete.

As soon as I get to the clover boot window my system restarts, nonstop
  • On reboot, press F12 at Gigabyte Splash screen.
    • Take a photo to upload to show us what Devices are seen one that screen
  • Next pick from the screen, your original macOSMojave System Disk icon (NOT the new macOSinstaller icon) and ENTER the Clover Boot Manager Screen.
  • scroll to the Options screen> Boot Args : and take a Photo.
  • At Boot Args: makes sure to type in -v dart=0 debug=0x100 keepsyms=1 and then return to the CBM icon View screen and take a Photo.
  • Now boot the icon labeled "Boot macOS Install from..." icon ; NOT "Boot Macos from..."
  • Take photos of problem Verbose Boot screen to upload
  • If no problems are encountered, repeat in CBM screen : selecting "Boot macOS Install from..." to reboot in Verbose until after several reboots that "Boot macOS Install from..."icon is no longer available.
  • Then boot "Boot Macos from..."
  • If this is not possible , your System disk is corrupted and you need a different troubleshoot.

I'm stuck here as well on my X99 build. Usually a hang here would indicate a memory mapping error, but AptioMemoryFix has been working fine for me in 10.14.4 and earlier. For whatever it's worth, I tried completing the update from my Macbook, but the drive still hangs in the same spot even after being updated.

I have posted a response to a similar issue here-> #7
Try if that is an option for your problem

Thanks for the response, I'll give it a try (I'd rather not move to an older version of AptioFix - but if it boots that would at least tell me whether or not that's the issue). May need to contact the developer about updating AptioMemoryFix. I suspect we will see a few more people with the same problem after the 10.14.5 update has been out a little while.

What do you mean you tried to complete from your MacBook?

I took the drive out and booted it from my macbook in a USB enclosure
