The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Hi Leesureone,

Interesting that you would mention that setting...I have been trying various iterations surrounding that specific setting and am still getting intermittent results!! Sometimes it will boot with CSM enabled and other times it will boot with it disabled!! Strangely enough my High Sierra install ( separate drive ) is doing the same thing!! Wouldn't you know...the win doze install( a third separate drive) always works!! I'm seriously considering paring down to 1 install to see if I can get it consistent!!
Do you have OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi installed in Clover/ Drivers64UEFI? Here's what I have installed and my bios settings, works great. We are kind of off topic being this is a different motherboard, hope ModMike is alright with it. Dual boot with Windows installed on none drive and OSX on the other no issues.

Great guide ModMike! I used it yesterday on a freshly new mITX build based on similar hardware. I had some boot issues with several USB sticks but nearly everything works fine now.

One of the remaining issues is a lot of audio noise/hissing, making the onboard sound unusable. It could be related to the mainboard, I'm not sure.
The mITX build is in a Phanteks Evolv X case, together with an Asus Rog Maximus XI system running Windows 10.

No I do not...It has the AptioMemoryFix-64.efi but not the driver you listed. Should I replace the AptioMem* file or just add the OsxAptio..... ?

I can't guarantee it will work on your board, make sure your USB boot drive is working first so you can recover easily before making any changes. Most of the Gigabyte Z390 boards require OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi without AptioMem; they both perform the same function and will conflict. Double check the rest of the drivers as well, eliminate ones not shown in the screenshot and cross your fingers.

I also searched for other users who have the same motherboard as you and found this suggestion to follow the guide from CaseySJ. Best to cruise that forum instead of here.

Hello, first let me say thank you for the time you put into this post. I only discovered hackintoshing a month and a half ago, after seeing what I would have spent on an iMac with the specs I wanted for longevity.

I did use the buyers guide for my components and successfully completed my first ever build. I later found through search that my build is, spec for spec, like this one. I however, did not purchase the dell Broadcom card. I already purchased a Fenvi T919 still in shipping.

I'm having trouble understanding the use of the FAT32 drive mentioned at the beginning of the guide. I did scavenge the comments before making this post, but it seems I'm the only one stuck here . Any help is appreciated.

Just skip to your BIOS settings and move on from there to Installing Mojave.

@ModMike Ufff nice work! Congratulations! The best tutorials I found on the web. I can't wait to start my build. I had everything, just I am waiting for the WiFi card DW1560 on the way. However, I am not planning to use a graphic card. Do you thing I should need it to work correctly? Can I add it later and install the propers kexts?

Yes.

Try to change your audio layout to 1. Not sure which one you should use for that board.

@ModMike

2) The Radeon's fans... HWMonitor shows the GPU die at 53, then 54, then 55 the fans kick in, drops to 54, the fans stop, it drops to 53 then rises again. Is there anyway I can make the GPU fans stay on slow (and quiet), rather than hear them rev up every 30 seconds or so?

I have this exact issue......
