Using a Presonus Quantum Thunderbolt 2 Audio Interface...HELP

Hey Guys...another success Story, at least on my Dell9020. The VRS8 is working flawlessly with the PCI Card installed.
Guess what, even with Dart=0 enabled. Vt-D is activated and i installed the alternative OSXAptiofix3Drv-64 to get it working.
Seems like the different Aptiofix managed something with the memory allocation at boot...

No luck on my X299 Board so far...we need a better driver. Joevt any suggestions for the x299 boards?!?!

thanx

What is OSXAptiofix3Drv-64? I'd like to give this a shot with my VRS8 to see if I can get it to work!

Fixes memory map created by AMI Aptio EFI. Booting OS X is impossible otherwise.

You have to installed it via CloverConfigurator or the Clover Installer in EFI/Clover/Drivers64UEFI

Do you know by chance where I can find this to download and install?

As i Said, use Clover Configurator and the install Driver’s Guide tab and make sure to only use One aptiofix

I've been trying to enjoy my VRS8 in-between my business trips. I have to say, I really like the no-frills approach. I'm very impressed by the quality I'm getting from the unit. But good news aside, now I'm back at square one for the Z390 build I was doing for a musician friend of mine. The methods that worked on my ASUS Z370 Hero board are not effective on the Z390 Desgnare. @MyTosh, it appears that you have the master. Wondering how your config is set up and contents of your drivers64UEFI folder.

For the longest time I thought that VT-d was incompatible with macOS. Found this interesting bit on VT-d and MMU Memory Virtualization:

By default, requests for physically contiguous memory return memory that is contiguous only from the perspective of I/O devices, and may not be physically contiguous in RAM.

If the memory must be contiguous to the CPU as well, you must pass the kIOMemoryHostPhysicallyContiguous option to IOBufferMemoryDescriptor when you request the memory. As before, such requests can fail if no physically contiguous blocks are available.

I've spent the last few days trying to get VRS-8 going on the Z390 board similar to @MyTosh without any success.

hi luckyal...did you try a different aptiopfix? Asisaid, got it running on my dell with the OSXAptiofix3Drv-64.
Lets hope the V2 Driver will fix this issue...need that thing running on my x299 Workstation

I tried them all. Aptio OSXAptio, OSX2000, you name it. Nothing works with the Z390 board. I'm curios how @MyTosh was able to get his going.

Hey there,

I saw you referenced my earlier post regarding my Z390 Designare Build and getting the Quantum to work. All I did was follow CaseySJ's instructions. How can I help?
