Hello,
I'm building my first hackintosh.
I would like to do it with Mojave.
I need help, because I can't go further than the screen of the language selection.

I've used the guide to select the following pieces.

Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS ELITE
CPU: INTEL I7-8700 TRAY
GPU: MSI RADEON RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC
Memory: BALLISTIX DDR4 16GB (2*8) BLS2K8G4D30BESBK

I updated the bios to F7
(I attached screenshots of my configuration)

1st try:
I used unibeast 9.2.0-6 without result

2nd try:
I used clover

With the second method,
the installation freeze or shutdown at different steps of the installation.
Sometime I can go to the screen of the disk format,
other times the computer shutdown and restart on the screen of the language selection with the colour wheel.

I've read several threads with Z390 Motherboard, but I can't find a walkthrough that solve my problem.
Maybe, I've forgot something...

Do you have an idea that can help me ?
Cheers

For successful booting of macOSMojave USB installer the Prerequisites are:

  • Full uncorrupt Install MacOSMojave in the USB disk
  • Properly chosen BIOS Options for CLOVER to use during boot
  • Properly created CLOVER FileTree in the EFI Folder of its hidden EFI Partition

Thanks,
I'm going to read this topic and I'm going to focus on the clover configuration.

Today, After several modifications on the bios,
I passed the step of the langage and I can format the disk.
The computer froze during the installation (2 minutes remaining of the 6 minutes).

That is normal soon after starting Installation following the Target Disk Erase.
When you are back at the CBM , don't select the USB Installer but the partially installed Mojave System HDD/SSD
This routine of Entering CBM through USB Installer and Exiting using Mojave HDD must continue a few times until Recovery Disk icon joins CBM icons.
That is an indication that you are going to boot the Mojave HDD towards its Final Stage of installation > Language and Region selection, Apple Account Setup, iCloud, macOSMojave System Login Credential , Day Night Screen, Desktop> Keyboard> Installation of CLOVER and kexts on the System HDD to make that disk independently bootable without the need for USB Installer with CLOVER (Multibeast or Manual Clover EFI+kexts).

Thanks for your step by step indications,
Today I have the Recovery Disk Icon near the two other.

So I selected the partially installed Mojave System HDD/SSD, I launched it with verbose and safe mode then it stopped and I got the following message:
@kec.pthread 1
@kec.corecrypto 1.0

After research I understand that means kernel panic.
I extracted a screenshot from a video.
I don't know what I'm supposed to look for...

  • The Verbose boot screen image is not very legible.
  • Looking at some areas of that, I think, the problem may be in your CLOVER in the USB Installer.
  • Upload CLOVER from USB as a Zipped file,
    • For bulleted steps-> #4

Hi,
My clover zipped file.

Hi,
My clover zipped file.
  • Your CLOVER lacks very much in needed files in /drivers64UEFI, kexts/Other and config.plist.
  • You have to redo the whole CLOVER File tree including config.plist
    • I am currently checking line by line of config.plist SECTIONS.

Thanks for your feedbacks.
You're right !

osxaptiofix2drv-free2000
AppleALC.kext
USBInjectAll.kext
Are in my folder CLOVER on the usb Stick.
I supposed that I forgot to save my config.plist.

So when I exported the clover zipped file, the problem is obvious.
I've fixed the problem for AppleALC and USBInjectAll
But I can't find the way to properly install osxaptiofix2drv-free2000.efi .
because I can't see it in Clover Configurator.

Same problem with XHCIunsupported.kext

I've joined my new Clover zipped file.

  • Try the uploaded CLOVER after unzip and extract to replace the current default CLOVER in macOSMojave USB installer's EFI/EFI after mounting the EFI partition and upload any problem verbose boot screen shot.
