NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (387.10.10.10.40)

Anyone use Blackmagic Resolve around here? Yesterday I updated to the latest driver and everything went ridiculously sluggish in that app.

After reverting back to 387.10.10.25.106 and it's all smooth and fast. I'm also running WhateverGreen in my Kexts.

I removed WhateverGreen and I'm not seeing any differences whatsoever. Does it actually do anything for Nvidia GPU's?

Yes it most certainly does, but like most things, it'd highly dependent upon your card, issues, and particular setup.

The biggest issue it aimed to resolve (I think) was the stuttering issue on 10.13, however, it never resolved the issue for me personally. I think a lot of my issues stem from having dual monitors, which seem to be very problematic on recent versions of Nvidia drivers in newer OSX releases / Nvidia cards.

I use it for the library validation fix, the black screen fix on iMac17,1 system definition, and the ngfxcompat boot flag that lets you bypass the build ID check so you can install a security update and still have a working card until the official driver release drops.

Basically all stuff I could otherwise patch myself but having it integrated into a single set and forget kext is nice.

Feels smooth. One issue though compared to 387.10.10.25.106. The GPU that is in the last slot (mine is 3) has OpenGL enabled. With .106 driver all Gpus has it enabled.

Sorry, I know this is for High Sierra graphics, so can we infer that since Mojave came out Oct 4th 2018 that High Sierra is likely the last NVidia supported macOS? It's been a long time (8 months), and unless I missed the release of NVidia graphics for Mojave, this seems like the end of the line...
