[Guide] Asus Zenbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I have Asus ux410u. Following the guide I was able to install macOS High Sierra. Everything works like a charm but not the touchpad. The system doesn’t see it and it doesn’t work at all. I have bios version 301, so I though maybe this is the problem. Could someone report which bios version he used with success?

I have the same laptop with you and faced the same problem with the touchpad. After updating to Mojave 10.14.3, the touchpad works like a charm. I think you should try it.

Thank you! Will give it a try today! Did you format drive as APFS?

I have an UX430UN ASUS model with Kaby Lake R and i want to hackintosh him . Have you got a good guide for me please ? I'm a newbie in this world :)

In case it will be helpful for someone, I finally managed to get touchpad to work. For me simply using VoodoIC2.kext in the baohiep github repo didn’t cut it. I got latest kext from official repo and now touchpad works absolutely amazing.

Have anyone successfully got Mojave 10.14.4 installed? I have ux410uqk, neither upgrading from 10.14.3 nor a clean install works for me. The former gets stuck at stall 240s AppleACPICPU cannot get SMCProvider something like that, the later gives kernel panic just right after choosing boot from install stick. While 10.14.3 works like a charm, it is still a nice thing to try the newest version. Will update if there's any progress.

I tried to install 10.14.4 but like u stuck during update. I stay on the 10.14.3. I work the Rehabman Clover version. When I try an update to official Clover The hackintosh (UX410) stuck too.

UX580GE (6 core i9 / HD630 and 1050 Ti GPU) after 6 hours of efforts.
Finally got it booted. Only in single user mode so far, but it's enough to get the EFI and High Sierra onto a partition and run some software to find out what's going on.
Bluetooth, webcam and touch screen are good natively, no touchpad, wifi or sound. No 1050 Ti yet. All the USB ports look good at first blush and I haven't had time to find drivers for the 2 TB ports yet.
Generally, I was ready to take this back an hour after I got it! Temps were averaging 60 deg at idle and choking as soon as I put load on it. I don't think an i9 is supposed to be in such a small box with no apparent venting.
But in High Sierra it's running 20 deg lower :) Maybe its destiny is running Apple lol.

anyone know what's the current status of ux430 Kaby Lake-R audio? Github readme says it's not working correctly but is it still accurate?

Right, got it going quite well on Mojave - UX580GE (6 core i9 / HD630 and 1050 Ti GPU) coffee lake.
After ages I found that the M.2 samsung 961 it came with doesn't play well and only booted in single user mode, the 970 plus I then got is the same, so a quick exchange to a standard 970 finally worked. The SMBIOS is the 15,1 and it works pretty natively following this guide. Uses the same CPU.
Not working is the egpu, TB3, trackpad (trackpad is some new interactive screen thing that operates as a 2nd monitor) and internal wifi/bluetooth. Not sure they will ever work.
The touchscreen weirdly works and I've got USB 3.1 with no issues. Sound was easy but the headphone jack stutters.
Issues I can probably fix in time is a kp on shutdown, kp at the end of a CC clone and other small issues related. Update Mojave via the about this mac / update worked, but got kp at the end and didn't clean up the install files. the install worked fine though. (Fixed. VirtualSMC is way better than FakeSMC for this install)
I've attached clover folder and an io reg explorer file in case someone wants to take a look or use it as a base.

Oh, I pulled it apart already and put liquid metal for better cooling. It idles the same, 40deg - fan profiles are **** and don't start till about 60deg, but I got 1250 on cinebench - 25% better than without the liquid metal TIM :) so there isn't too much throttling now.
