[BUG] Black screen 3 minutes after booting, CoffeeLake UHD 630

Hi, is there anyone solved this problem?

For what it's worth, I don't have the 3-minute delay issue. Here are my findings:

I get the 3-minute delay if either or both of the following is applied:
  • hibernatemode set to 0
  • SSDT-RMCF in clover/acpi/patched

My setup:

  • hibernatemode is set to 3
  • Latest WhateverGreen + Lilu + AppleBacklightFixup + AppleBacklightInjector kexts
  • Patched SSDT-PNLF + SSDT-PNLFCFL in clover/acpi/patched
  • No SSDT-RMCF at all
  • Config.plist is attached

Note: Sleep/wake works fine for a short sleep but breaks bluetooth on wake (I blame the Intel WiFi/BT pci-e card I'm using because it's not supported and not supposed to work actually) - might be fixable but I don't use sleep so I'm not bothered.

@zacmks Did you check if this is true for your case?

I kinda tested (not much much thoroughly), but as I recall I don't think that it worked for me.

Is it possible for you to test it better for us?

This issue seemed to disappear after updating Clover to its latest version.

Don’t think so, maybe you updated WhateverGreen too? Coz latest versions apply the patches automatically.

Don't really know. The thing is that this issue magically dissapeared from my two Hackintosh laptops after some upgrade to latest versions of everything in Clover and /L/E. But I guess it was upgrading Clover itself what did the magic.

For some reason when I add SSDT-PNLFCFL.aml to my ACPI patched folder, the black screen issue doesn't occur anymore, but the backlight level isn't maintained when rebooting. Using the SSDT-PNLF.dsl included in WhateverGreen caused my backlight to be really dim, but the black screen didn't occur either.

If your Brightness level isn't maintained after reboot, try adding SSDT-ALS0 : https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config/blob/master/hotpatch/SSDT-ALS0.dsl into your EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched "saved as .aml" (while assuming your have working NVRAM).

Reboot, put brightness to a certain level, reboot again and see if it starts saving your last level.

I already have it in my patched folder. For some reason the brightness is retained only on shutdown and not on reboot

Hello. can anyone summarize and make a tutorial for jerk how to fix that black screen?
