Dell Inspiron 17 5767 specifications
  • Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7500u (7th gen) / 2.7 Ghz
  • RAM: 16 GB / DDR4 SDRAM
  • Display resolution: 1920 x 1080 (Full HD)
  • Primary GPU: Intel HD 620
  • Secondary GPU: AMD Radeon R7 M445 / 4 GB / GDDR5 SDRAM
  • Audio codec: Realtek ALC3246 (ALC256)
  • Wireless - Bluetooth: Intel Dual Band AC3165
What is working
  • All things not listed in "What is not working"
What is not working
  • Secondary GPU --> disabled by SSDT patch to make boot possible
  • Gestures on touch pad
  • WiFi
Possible fixes (NOT TESTED YET)
  • Secondary GPU:
    WhateverGreen.kext + Lily.kext, need to remove the patched SSDT
  • Gestures on touch pad:
    I don't know
  • WiFi:
    AppleIntelWiFiMVM.kext (avaible on GitHub but probably abandoned) or substitute WiFi card with a supported one or use a supported WiFi USB adapter or if you have a Raspberry Pi + any WiFi USB adapter you can create a network bridge
Prerequisites
  • Follow RehabMan's guide here and when you successfully created the bootable USB return here to add the remaining necessary files
  • Download all the files attached below
  • Download tools below:
Installation
  1. Copy "SSDT-7.aml" and "SSDT-PNLF.aml" to your EFI partition --> EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched
  2. Copy "RealtekRTL8100.kext" to your EFI partition --> EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other
  3. Copy "config.plist" to your EFI partition --> EFI/CLOVER
  4. Resume RehabMan's guide and when you successfully reached macOS desktop, rebooted with the correct ig-platform-id as per guide, installed Clover on your HDD, etc. return here
  5. Check "Backup kexts that will be replaced" and install all kexts present in your EFI partition --> EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other through Kext Wizard, repair permissions and rebuild kernel-cache by checking "System/Libraries/Extensions" in Maintenance module
  6. Reboot
  7. Now you should have working ethernet, backlight control, audio
  8. If you used macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 version to create the bootable USB:
    You shouldn't have problems with display after sleep/wake like display glitches
    If you used macOS High Sierra 10.13.x prior to 10.13.5 version to create the bootable USB:
    You may get some problems with display after sleep/wake like display glitches so you MUST update your system to 10.13.5 version through the "App Store" to fix this
  9. Enjoy!!!
Thanks
  • Special thanks to @RehabMan for his amazing guides
Notes
  • RealtekRTL8100.kext is a modified version of Mieze's one (Mieze's version was unstable on my laptop because it still connecting/disconnecting, so after many researches I found another working version on insanelymac)
  • AppleHDA.kext is a prebuilt kext I found on GitHub

Sorry for my late answer but I have not upload Mojave version yet because I'm trying to solve some issues. Then I'll post the new guide in the Mojave laptop guides section of the forum.

Thanks for the reply mate!! I have a fully working mojave on the same system but I am not able to run the radeon graphic cards.
Intel he 620 works.. how did you enable yours?

Unfortunately we can't enable discrete gpu since it will cause kernel panic. And there aren't kext for ours radeon graphic card

We can try spoofing the graphic card...

I just used the config.plist from rehabmans guide for intel hd 620 but mojave is turning out to be unstable. I might have to go back to your guide and install high sierra.

I'd love to see Mojave support, I'm desperate to get a Mojave machine - my main machine is cursed by no NVIDIA web drivers.

UPDATE: This doesn't work super well, it's functional but... I'll be switching back to Windows for the time being. I would still like to try Mojave out however. The trackpad's function is just a bit too messed up. Good guide though, it actually launched. :)

Just acquired same laptop. Will give it a go when I get the chance. Thanks.

So far no luck, tried Mojave and high Sierra can’t even get to installer. Keep getting kp and reboots.
