Intel Hades Canyon NUC?

Hi.

can you upload graphic clover?
my device is nuc8i7hvk.
Clover is no different from lmshsqlc. After 10.14.5beta2, Apple made relatively large changes to AMDRadeonX4000.kext and AMDRadeonX4000GLDriver.bundle, so that only adding df671002 or ef671002 can not enter the system interface. I found that the 10.14.5beta1 driver is available, however it is not perfect and needs further modifications. If you want to upgrade 10.14.5beta3, you need to replace the old version of AMDRadeonX4000.kext, AMDRadeonX4000GLDriver.bundle and AMDRadeonX4000HWServices.kext. The current test results are like this, but I don't recommend it.

The above is from Google Translate, I don't know if I accurately expressed my intention.

66A0: Radeon Instinct MI60 (Vega 20)
66A1: Unknown (Vega 20)
66A2: Unknown (Vega 20)
66A3: Unknown (Vega 20) (Custom Apple Radeon Pro)
66A7: Unknown (Vega 20) (Custom Apple Radeon Pro)
66AF: Unknown (Vega 20)
These definitions are done by amdradonx5000.kext and seem to be more in line with the requirements. But there are no good results at the moment.

Has anyone tried the [high sierra] driver graphics card?

I got a NUC8i7HVK Hades Canyon (HC) and installed 10.14.4 based on @Sammy1881 's nice work.

I was using miniDP - miniDP cable to connect to a 4K portable monitor. As I had expected, I got a garbled screen with red marks on the icons and empty menu items, which have been shown in other previous posts.

I have another 3K monitor support type-c/thunderbold 3 connection only. So I plugged into one of the TB3 ports on the back of HC. To my surprise, this as a secondary display was clean, no red marks.

My guess was that using the TB3 port(s) could help to circumvent the unwanted red marks. This is mostly true, as I did the following tests.

Monitors:
1. Type-c/TB3 only 3K monitor, on the left (ML);
2. 4K monitor supports type-C, mini DP and HDMI, on the right (MR);
3. UPVICH Thunderbolt 3 USB-C Dock

4. Dell DA200 USB-C dock. Just to mention that It works as the above one, but only supports lower resolution.

1. TB3 alone - ML
Display is good as long as the ML is connect to the TB3 port next to the power plug.

2. TB3 - ML and mini DP - MR
The ML is good, while MR is not.

3. TB3 - ML and front HDMI - MR

4. TB3 - ML and UPVICH - HDMI - MR
Both minitors are good.

Though the red marks are gone in general when TB3 is used for display, the font in Safari is still distorted.
And red mark will show up when the icons in the system panel are clicked.

For me, using TB3 for display(s) makes my life a lot easier. It makes the NUC more usable with a relatively clean interface.

Hi dudes,

Any of you met the trouble in waking up from a sleep? I could see the lights are on but no reaction of the system on the screen... Any idea or solution on it?

Thanks in advance!

Thunderbolt 3 does not work, some icons mosaic, upgrade, sleep, shutdown, etc. are all very good work
