[Success] b1's "Mac Mini Killer" with macOS Mojave: i7-8700 | Gigabyte Z370N | RX560 | 16GB RAM

I must be doing something wrong..

I've tried the 4600 and 4100 aml files but Intel Power Gadget is always showing core of 4.3 when loading up the CPU with a video conversion task.

All this .aml files are needed for correct P-states during low loading. So idle frequency can be lower than 1.3 GHz (SMBIOS 19.2). Max frequency will always be 4.3 for all cores. And 4.6 for one core (what never happens in the real world).

Why are you worried at all? CPUFriend is needed for laptop users. For 8th-generation desktop CPUs, everything works out of the box. With SMBIOS 19.2 your idle frequency will be 1.3 GHz.

I'm not worried honestly - just playing around and trying things - usual Hack tinkering here. haha

I honestly can't my machine to boot with iMac 19,1 or 19,2 can you?

It freezes with the circle with an x through it and on Verbose mode it says the platform doesn't support this hardware - not sure what in my Config might be doing that as I'm pretty sure I got a 19,1 SMBIOS booting on my extra SSD Install I keep for when bad stuff happens.

We have recently discussed this.

Just updated to macOS 10.14.5 beta 3 (SMBIOS 19.2). Everything works great including iGPU.

I’m also on Beta 3 now, but with iGPU off and iMacPro 1,1 SMBIOS.

Everthing works wonderfully, especially with my RX 580 now, and DRM video works in Safari correctly also (HBOnow)

Hello,

do you think this model fit with the main board : Case
As i'm in france and I can't get the power supply is this one good : Power supply
Don't really know if I have to take a 300w or if 220w is enough.

Thank you :)

I have the same case, but aluminum (this one is from steel). Any ITX motherboard will fit. PSU300 will be enough for any CPU + RX590 or Vega 56.

But, I am not a fan of flex power supplies:

1. You need to mod it to work with consumer motherboards;
2. Make custom cables; standard cables will not fit the case;
3. Change build in fan; the standard is very noisy;
4. Selling it in the future is impossible.

Mine died in 2 months, so now I'm using Corsair SF600...

This guy has a little bigger version of this case for SFX PSU's like Corsair RX600 or RX450. I recommend you buy this version.
