I have created a sierra usb install stick per the instructions in this thread:

I have used this install stick to successfully install sierra on a HP 6300 SFF. I have tried to repeat the process on my Huanan x79. I can boot into clover boot loader but attempting to boot the installer causes a hard lock at the first apple logo. I tried rebooting with -v and debug=0x100 and the boot appears to freeze at FakeSMC as shown in the attached image. Anyone got any suggestions?
