[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Everything is working great now, thanks for this awesome guide and to the other members who've helped me here . I am just wondering if anyone else has got this weird offset apple during boot, it doesn't bother me because it's only during boot. After about 3,4 seconds it corrects itself and then shows the apple in the center with 1 single progress bar. Not sure if this fits "garbled" boot screen on Yosemite/El Capitan section of the FAQ.

That type of behavior is normal. It's usually due to the VESA driver of Clover conflicting with macOS's bootup sequence. Best thing to do to help reduce the severity is to set your BIOS to UEFI Boot Mode with CSM-Hybrid mode enabled and make sure the conflig.plist has the Resolution set to 1024x768.

Hello, I just updated on 10.14.4. Almost everything is OK except that I no longer have the headphones that work !? Also, and since the beginning of this Hackintosh, the 2nd page of the boot looks like that! How to solve these problems?

Re-run the post installation steps, specifically the './install_downloads.sh' script. But make sure you run './downloads.sh' first to make sure you have up-to-date kexts downloaded.

Hi, I use this hotpatch to install Mojave on HP ZBook G2 15, almost works, but still has some issue.

1. DisplayPort does not work
2. Audio only work with headphone, no speaker, no mic (only headphone and line in)
3. Glitch on login after boot (workaround: press the power button to sleep and resume, please the video)

how could I fix these issue? Thanks

Hi, I am in the process of installing Mojave into my HP Probook 450 G5. have followed the tutorial to install clover into the usb and then into the OSX partition... Windows 10 was preinstalled in the laptop and I thought that when creating that single OSX partition with Disk Utility, it would have gotten rid of it, but Windows is still showing in the Clover boot as an option.

401820

Why is Windows still showing? Did I forget to do anything? Will this be a problem?

And when I boot Clover choosing the target hard drive I end up getting this:

401814

I read the FAQ on how to report errors:

I tried to "press F2 then F4 at main Clover screen" to collect the preboot log, but nothing happens.

Also, I tried booting with verbose, but the text keeps moving fast, which moment specifically would be helpful for me to take a photo? Or is there a key that will pause the verbose?

Thank you for any pointer on how to best provide more info.

Use the same kexts and UEFI drivers as I descriped here.
You have to create a new partition table in order to get rid of everything preinstalled. So, before installing, in disk utility: -> in the left upper menu -> show all devices -> select your drive -> erase -> choose GUID-Partitiontable and APFS -> erase.

Re-run the post installation steps, specifically the './install_downloads.sh' script. But make sure you run './downloads.sh' first to make sure you have up-to-date kexts downloaded.
Ok, I re-runed the post installation steps
"cd ~ / Projects / probook.git
./download.sh
./install_downloads.sh "
I updated SSDT and config.plist
But the same problems still exist, no headphone, no line out in Syst / Pref.
This laptop has a combo jack, line in is well recognized and mic works. I have tested headphone on clover menu and it works !? I do not know what to do?

Awesome, thanks. I will try that. I just see also mentioned that RehabMan Clover is believed to not be up to date, so I'll start everything from scratch and use the latest Clover from SourceForge.

To add to all that, I realized that I had downloaded the Mojave Installer from the AppStore some time ago, and there have been several updates since then, so I redownloaded it :)

I'll try soon and report back.

@cyrentix just to confirm: As it was recommended in RehabMan's guide, I had downloaded HIS versions of each of those kexts. Are these kexts also NOT to be used, or these kext are still the ones recommended?
