pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Success!!!!

Thank you so much!!

(BTW - I downloaded and ran Clover Configurator on another machine to make the necessary changes to config.plist, as I can’t find the serial # fields when using PList Editor Pro)

A.

Great.

Yeah, I suspected the problem you were having was with your old config.plist. It looked different from how I have thing set in my EFI folders....

When transitioning to a new system definition, we should also generate new Serial, Board Serial, and UUID.

When switching to a new sysdef, is it prudent to log out of iCloud first, update config.plist with new numbers, restart, and then log back in? Or is logging out unnecessary? I'm putting together a new build with a 9900k and Vega 56, and 19,1 is a logical change from 18,3 that my current Kaby Lake build uses. I'd like to be able to just move the NVMe M.2 SSD w/out doing a clean install and risk screwing up iMessages.

After you've made the changes to your config.plist, when you reboot, macOS will ask you to login again. I have never needed to log out manually, the system will do it.

Hi all,

I'm experiencing some "bounces" prior to sleep after update to Clover 4910 and MacOS 10.14.4.
On a couple of Z370 boards with i7 8700 the systems basically tries to go to sleep and bounces making some CPU fan noise. After a couple of attempts the system finally goes to sleep with a couple more minutes.
This behaviour is new btw. Prior to these updates after the selected time windows the system was immediately going into sleep mode.
I'm on 18,3 and 18,2 SMBIOS.
Any idea what it is and how to solve?

Thanks everyone.

Try Clover r4920.

I'm having trouble with displayport connectivity. I'm running a Vega56 with a headless device ID. HDMI works fine. With DP, it boots fine and shows the bios on screen, but as soon as it tries to boot past Clover, I get a blank screen. I'm guessing this has to do with the framebuffer? However, the framebuffer patcher app only seems to work for identifying ports if you're using iGPU.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Are you trying to use the IGPU for monitors?

When IGPU is set to be headless, no monitors should be connected to IGPU.

If you are using my EFI folder, you shouldn't need to patch any framebuffers.

Which Vega 56 card are you using?

Please post your EFI folder.

I'm currently using dGPU HDMI for my monitor. I'm trying to switch from using HDMI to using DP (still dGPU).
I'm using a combo of your folder (which is how I got started) and the Vanilla method.
I have an MSI Vega 56 AirBoost 8G.

Try using the config.plist from EFI r4.5.3 on post #1.
Copy/paste your Serial, Board Serial, and UUID to the EFI r4.5.3 config.plist.
Use VGTab kext for Vega 56 fan control.
