Hello KGP. Im follow your guide with my setup and I getting ramdon freezes. I'm using your config.plist. I thought I could be the GPU, but I tried with a Gigabyte RADEON RX 570 4GB and things got worst. Could not export in H264, and suffering the ramdon freezes. Can you give me a hand, please?
Thanks in advance.

Help based on the above information? How?

Hello mate,
Sorry, what information should I provide?
My setup is:
Asus X99 PRO USB 3.1
CPUi7 6800K
GraphicsPNY Nvidia Quadro M6000

Would you need my config.plist and something else?

thanks for your time!

@kgp

Regarding your talk about Nvidia and CUDA a couple of pages back. Have you, (or anyone else in this thread) tried to use CUDA without Nvidia Web Drivers? Why im asking is because i really need a stable system, and my random crashes won't stop with my 1080ti. I need cuda for 3D rendering, but with that said, i don't need to use my Nvidia card for my monitors. I guess i could pop an AMD card in to use, as long as cuda is enabled for my 3D software.

Would this be possible? And have anyone tried it?

Please read beginning of section C.) to see, which information you need to provide to receive help by others. For now, I do not provide additional user specific support beside my guidelines.

Hi,

I don't use any Nvidia GPU for more than one year, and I also never used any AMD/NVidia Hybrid GPU solution in any case.

What makes your system unstable are the CUDA and not the Web drivers.

Maybe somebody else can better help you in your issues and endeavours, you detailed above.

Good luck,

KGP

Hi,

There's no chance to make use of this kind of Nvidia Cards without drivers. Forget about it, mate.

That's what I meant anyway. Metal is the way to go and state of the art Nvidia GPUs are anyway not further supported under macOS versions >10.13.6.

Have any of you already tried the i9 9900X processor?
I have replaced my i9 7900X and I am not getting up with the system (10.14.4).

Properly adapted TSCAdjustReset.kext in your EFI-Folder? MSR lock disabled in your BIOS settings?

If so, upload information requested at beginning of Section C.) that others can help you with your issues.

Good luck,

KGP
it was the MSR lock it was enable. thanks for the info.

I have a dual boot system with windows and macos (windows for the games and mac for productivity) I was using regular sata SolidState "2 oneTB crucial mx500" Desided to update it to M.2, ordered 2 Sabrent 2TB ROCKET NVMe PCIe M.2 2280, but I only got one first and the other is back-ordered. So idesided to intall the first one on the windows side because it easier. I finish all the updates on the windows side but when I go to macos now I get an HID:legasyShim2 and it stops the booting process. If I take out the windows M.2 drive it will boot fine. I check all the instruction but still I cannot find if theres a setting that i'm missing for this. Any Opinions?
