@Sniki The touchscreen is working perfectly with your changes.

Unfortunately it looks like changing that value you mentioned in the KBD DSL file didn't change the two finger scroll speed. @RehabMan do you know which value I should change/override to make the two finger scrolling a bit "faster"?

Maybe @jcsnider would know which value I need to change? :)

EDIT: Sorry everyone for the tags - I figured it out. "ScrollResolution" is the property to change. The lower the number, the "faster" the scrolling. I figured it out just by playing around with some different values.

Also, I'd like to report alc_fix is still necessary on Mojave to fix the Line-In/Internal Microphone detection after sleep mode. But I'm happy to report the fix in the first post is still working just fine.

Thanks again everyone for contributions to this project.

@CoBrA2168 For those of us who don't know how to build their own SSDT-T440S.aml after modifying SSDT-USB.dsl as suggested in https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-lenovo-thinkpad-t440s.244798/post-1828353 and https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-lenovo-thinkpad-t440s.244798/post-1828353, could you please post a modified SSDT-T440S.aml with a ScrollResolution of 400?

Thank you,

Hey thanks for this guide. Unfortunally I don't know anything about BIOS modifications, so I need a little help with those steps. Anyone able to explain it to me and tell me what I have to do. Thanks a lot.

BIOS modification is not necessary. You need to be on BIOS 2.36 which does not contain a whitelist so the WIFI/Bluetooth card can be changed out. If you have a higher BIOS, it's still possible to downgrade. Search in this thread for instructions.

Basically just download all of the DSL files from @Sniki's Github for this machine, make the changes you need to the DSL file, and then use the iasl binary to compile them all into a single SSDT.

RehabMan's guide explains this process in greater detail: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/

Ran the 10.4.14 updater from Software Update. Took over an hour to complete but seemed to complete ok.

I rebuilt the kextcache with sudo kextcache -i /
Next I ran the latest Clover installer to update it, but I went with the default options.

Now I don't have any sound from the laptop speakers. Could this have been because Clover installer over-wrote some of my kexts or configuration I did as part of this install guide?

It appears that there may be some additional updates that need to be performed for 10.4.14 to behave properly. I have not updated, so I have no personal experience with this, but since you have already updated you might try the advice located here.

Hello!
Thanks for putting the time into this guide! However, I've come across some problems with my T440 and need some help.

The installation worked fine except I had to use a USB mouse and keyboard as the internal ones did not seem to work at setup. Everything installed fine but when I try to boot into the OS, I encounter a kernel panic. It's extremely fast and hard to read but I get something like
Failed to map Device ID: ... to GPU SKU .. "/Library/Caches/com.apple.xhs/Sources/GPUDriversIntel/GPU...-Intel-12...
before it clears to the panic.apple.com message.

I've been using the config.plist and SSDT-T440.aml from the T440 github repo, though I've been following the T440S guide posted here. I previously tried the T440 guide and I also encounter this problem.

EDIT: Regarding my post:- I installed High Sierra using this guide and everything worked perfectly, so it seems to me that this guide just does not support Mojave.

Hi Shiki,

I was able to use your guide and another for the X1 Carbon G3 to get my X1 Carbon G2 to get it to work 95%. I am missing Audio and the battery meter is always at 0%.

I am attaching the debug file to see if you or anyone can point me on the right direction.

Thanks in advance!

For anyone holding back on the 10.14.4 upgrade, I can confirm it works as intended (Im using the latest version of all the kexts). On latest Clover by Rehabman.

@RehabMan I suspect at some point in the future we'll need to update Clover inevitably. I'm seeing that the latest version of your forked Clover is still v4701. Is there a reason to this? Do you plan to update it? Not trying to force anything, I'm just wondering if we'll need to go to using official Clover later on in the future.

Did you have to do anything after update to get audio working? I've been following the various update threads with interest and keep seeing an issue with 10.14.4 and audio.
