Hey guys, I was just wondering if the HP elite 8200 Minitower would be compatible with this? I'm thinking yes, but I was just wondering. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

My machine is not recognizing the prepared USB at all. What can go wrong?

Thanks,

Ádám

Recreate the USB and select Legacy Boot Mode. If it still doesn't work, use another USB. The USB that you use has to be 32 GB or less. If it is bigger, you would have to partition it.

Yes, the 8200 Minitower would work as long as it has an i3, i5, or i7 processor. You can use a full height graphics card with it.

Hello. I am trying to use unibeast to make a bootable mojave install with legacy mode and it gives me an error every time that it failed to copy over the apfs kext. What should I do?

Recreate the USB using Unibeast 9.1.0. Make sure to format the driver as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and use the GPT (GUID Partition Table) as your partition scheme. Disable any antivirus that may sometimes hinder in the creation process. Lastly, make sure that you are not booted in Safe Mode as it will cause Unibeast to fail.

I've tried that all already unfortunately. I'll try again with an older image of mac os mojave that I had when I did my first hackintosh. Apparently, apple changed the name of the mojave installer to macOS Basesystem.dmg instead of what it used to be called and within the unibeast installer, the copy_apfs.sh file has the OS X Basesystem.dmg hard coded. There might be a need to revise the installer to meet the new name scheme

Ok so now I got the installer to finish and I put my usb drive into the hp and select from legacy devices boot menu. It takes clover quite a while to load and once it does I select the mac os mojave option. It then shows the apple logo and after 5 minutes, that goes away and goes to a black screen. Nothing else happens after that.

What video card are you using? Remember that many Nvidia cards that were running fine on High Sierra (Gt 210, 730, 1030, 1050, 1050ti) are no longer compatible with Mojave.
