macOS 10.13.6 Update

I have a problem with updating the new Security Update 2019-002 from macOS 10.13.6 (17G5019) 2019-001. After it finished with downloading the update, my Hack restarted and stalled at cca. 15% of the white bar.
After approx. 10 mins of stalling a window popped out.

For some reason, the icon is from Mojave. I had to restart the PC and update failed. Tried a few times, always unsuccessfully with ERROR_7E7AEE96CA.

Did anyone else encounter that kind of behavior? :geek:

EDIT: Successfully solved at #548.

First guess is that somehow you downloaded the Mojave security update, which was announced at the same time as the High Sierra update. (I won't be trying this until there is a new nVidia Web Driver available.)

Same issue here: 17G6029 booted but not Nvidia drivers available. Any solutions?

That's not the same. You have 17G6029 and I am stuck at 17G5019. Your problem is Nvidia-drivers will be here in a few hours/days. No GPU acceleration for you.

Mojave security update can't be the case, as I downloaded it from App Store under Updates. Icon of SU is from High Sierra if that even means something.
On the other hand, I should wait for Web Drivers too. Will be back here as soon as the upgrade from Nvidia is out. Maybe macOS auto-corrects by that time.

Security Update 2019-002 High Sierra (17G6029) installed successfully without any problem for my office build. It also comes with Safari 12.1.

That's not true. The Safari 12.1 update was published around the same time as the Security Update 2019-002 and appears SEPARATE in the App Store update list.

What makes you write stuff like that?

You can find new Web Drivers here or just check for updates in Web Drivers app.

I finally got it to work via Apple Support site. :headbang: If anybody else has that problem: Download Security Update 2019-002 (High Sierra)

I did not say it INCLUDES Safari 12.1.

Build 17G6029 runs nVidia Web Driver 387.10.10.10.40.123 just fine on my Mini ITX. No change in graphics performance. (But I think nVidia really needs to do something about those version numbers!)

My hack is on 17G5019 but the security update is not offered to me. Any suggestions why it is not offered to me via AppStore? Safari update was offered and already installed.
