No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

If convenient, an experiment:
Remove FakePCIID-Intel-HDMI-Audio.kext
Restart, reply with new files.

If no audio, restore FakePCIID-Intel-HDMI-Audio.kext
If audio, remove FakePCIID.kext
Restart, reply with new files
I removed both and got audio to work. Not sure if that helps?

Hi there,

After a failed attempt to upgrade El Capitan, I got High Sierra installed from scratch using guides from this forum. EFI and stuff was configured with MultiBeast and everything working fine except, well the audio.

I probably selected a wrong driver, ACL888 instead of what mb support (ACL1150). MB is Z97X-UD5H: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...5H&cm_re=Z97X-UD5H-_-9SIAGSC7FD8728-_-Product

So the audio device is absent in the config, all usual troubles.

What's the best way to fix this? I've tried to re-run MultiBeast and select correct driver, it updated EFI (based on new entries in /EFI-Backups - but still no audio. And I don't want to mess too much with the dirvers/clover and stuff.

Should I try Clover configurator for manual changes and driver updates? Or MultiBeast should be able to fix it?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Toleda,
on my second Hack I updated MacOs directly from High Sierra 10.13.6 to Mojave 10.14.3.
Everything works but audio. I can see only HDMI audio over the 2 monitor connected.
In High Sierra I was used to run a script to make audio run again after an update.

Motherboard: Asrock Fatal1ty Z370. CPU: i8700k GPU: RX580
I tried every step of your guide with no luck.
In the file attached my EFI, Screenshots of sound pref, Io registry and terminal output.
I could not put the AppleHDA.kext in S/L/E because there's no file of that kind (show hidden files on).
Thanks for your help!
A.

Hi Toleda! I'm facing some audio problem. From time to time, mainly when I switch between OP (Mac OS, Win 10 and Ubuntu 18.04) I lose sound on front speakers and I need to reset the bios physically. Same, on Ubuntu, I can't configure 5.1, the map sound channels its wrong. In Windows all ok. Bios F8. Thank you!

Remove Realtek driver, use Windows/Control Panel/Sound.
Work around is a cold boot rather than BIOS reset.
