Will my system work? Gigabyte Z390 UD + ASUS Vega 64

History shows that Gigabyte Motherboards are the easiest to get working. I am in the same boat as you, the last thing we want to do is spend this type of cash on a system that doesn't work. Hackintoshing takes extensive research. My research shows that the Gigabyte Z390-UD may not be the best board for the i9 9900K across the board. I have settled on the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro. Offering improved VRM thermal design and so I believe better power delivery should maximise the performance of the i9 9900K. Also there is a more comprehensive vanilla guide on another forum.

In terms of the GPU, for the RX 590 it appears that the Powercolor and the Sapphire Nitro+ are the only working models. The GPU is a concern for me as I can only get Asus and XFX cards. It is possible to flash the VBIOS however I have not done this before.

There is a inherent risk when it comes to hackintoshing, the level of risk you take is determined by the amount of research you do. I may take a risk on the Asus Vega 64 or I may look at flashing a 590 XFX.

You need to get a buddy to send you a card from another country. Can't you just buy from newegg or Amazon online?

What about the AMD cards like the WX4100, WX5100, WX7100, WX9100?

Nope, we don't really have WS AMD GPU's. I can order from Newegg however amazon isn't allowed to ship to Australia anymore.

Gigabyte has released the Z390 UD F6 Bios for the I9 series cpu. Should be fine with the update.

mojave is certainly what I’m after. I’ve updated my list of things to purchase for my first build and is ordering tomorrow.

I use adata for some time now, and their results is great and also very reliable in my experience with them.
The adata M.2 is 2100Mhz read and 1500Mhz write. Very fast indead and also it’s not expensive.
I wouldn’t say I’m biased when it comes to adata but it’s good imo for not to much.
