Mojave installation does not finish (UniBeast) | H370M-D3H-GSM

Hey, I'm having some issues installing my first build.

My setup:
• Gigabyte H370M D3H GSM (wanted DS3H from the Mobo list first, but only the D3H-GSM was available)
• IGFX (since no real graphics loads are demanded)
• i5-8400
• 970 EVO

I'm following this guide.
I created a USB stick using UniBeast (9.1.0-8), booted it and created a Mac OS Extended (journaled) partition with GUID partition map.
The installation ran smoothly and after finishing the system rebooted.
I then chose "Boot from Mojave" from the boot screen.

The installation continues for a few minutes and then the system crashes, reboots and I'm back to the boot screen.
There are no information, messages or logs I could find nor any hints to what the cause may be.

I found a few threads with people having similar issues (with High Sierra). But they use Clover and discuss kext issues, which I'm absolutely not familiar with, at least in this context. I'm totally new to all this and may have some misunderstandings when it comes to this topic as well.

• From your description, it looks like you had a properly created macOSMojave USB Installer and BIOS options with which you could initiate the installation normally, but after the first reboot [ which usually occurs from as long as 10 minutes or as short as 3-4 minutes from the start depending up on the USB Installer (USB 2.0 vs USB 3.0) and the Target Disk speed ( SATA Spin disk Vs SATA SSD vs NVMe ) and RAM ] you had what you characterize as Crash back to CBM screen.

• The above "crash" can be a normal second phase reboot that can occur with in a couple of minutes after first reboot and you can have such 3-4 reboots before the creation of a Recovery Disk add to CBM screen icons .
• After that the next reboot ends up in Welcome screen.........>> and finally to Desktop

• It will be a good idea to ALWAYS use Verbose Boot during all installation and Post-Installation troubleshoots and take pictures of screens to upload to supplement the posted message in Forum troubleshoot.

The recovery disk is mentioned nowhere. Do you mean that I don't need to install until I see my system drive, but a third partition? Because I never saw any recovery partition on any screenshot here (except yours).

I usually use verbose boot, also on my normal machines, but I have no clue how to enable verbose boot before I installed anything... Any idea?

I'll try reinstalling a few times later this evening and report back.

• Mojave Hard disk installation starts after Hard Disk "Erase" from Disk Utility (from macOS Utilities) and then you click Install Macos > Agree License> Select the Erased Target Disk.
• The first phase can last up to 6-10 minutes or earlier.
• At "2 seconds remaining" mark suddenly without any warning the system will shut down and then. will open the Clover Boot Manager (CBM) screen.
• The CBM screen would show the Installer USB and the Partially installed Hard disk (if the user has not hidden Preboot in config.plist_Gui_Hide Volumes, additional Preboot icons will also show up to confuse the user)
• from this time onwards, the User has to boot the Partially installed System hard Disk NOT the USB Installer.
• The second phase installation after reboot, if started in Verbose (as it should preferably be) will run in verbose boot screen and may change to Gui with Progressbar and suddenly without any warning reboot as if crashing back into the CBM screen
• User still has to launch from CBM the partially installed System Hard disk in verbose and that screen will run a longer time and reboot to CBM and at this time user can see the appearance of Recovery Disk.
• If the user can see the Recovery Disk icon added to the CBM , that is an indication that the next boot of the Partially installed System disk will complete copying of all files and then go to the final stage of Apple Gui > Progresbar> transient grey screen>Transient white screen> Welcome Screen> Language and Region Selection> Apple Account setup> iCloud Setup> Local Computer Account Setup> Light and Dark Screen>Desktop> Keyboard Assistant ....

but I have no clue how to enable verbose boot before I installed anything... Any idea?

• By editing /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist_Boot Arguments of your USB Installer with [√] Verbose (-v) it will appear automatically [See image]
• If you had not done that (as is the case now) , you can do it TEMPORARILY, for each reboot , from CBM screen by pressing SPACE Bar of keyboard and then from the Options screen [√] Verbose (-v)
• If you had edited the config.plist of your USB installer's EFI>CLOVER>config.plist_Gui>Hide volumes SECTION and add (click + sign you can find there) Preboot to the list you will have less confusing icons [See image of config.plist opened in Clover Configurator Global] ,
